In this place, I want to share some of what I have learned and done. I also want to share the sources that have brought me to where I am now. This is an ongoing journey and I would love to have you share it with me.
I am among many other things, a Native Californian. California is a land that takes those who have chosen to live here and reforms them. There are at least three "manitous" that I have found so far, and they are very powerful. In the 1830's a man named Richard Henry Dana sailed to California from New England and made many comments about what he found here not long after Mexico declared it's independence from Spain. Much of what he said then about the people of California is as true today as it was then. That is the effect of the "Spirit of the Land". Those changes are also the source of many of the jokes that are told about Californians! We really are different. I have even earned the right to the nickname "Prunepicker" since I spent some time in my youth picking prunes in the Santa Clara Valley.
I was very fortunate to have attended Notre Dame High School in San Jose, CA. It is a private, Catholic college prep school that was founded in 1850. I was in the 110th graduating class. While there, I not only received an excellent education in languages, science, mathematics, music, and history, but in Catholic Theology as well. In time, as I questioned the nature of Reality and the nature of God, I left the Catholic Church to follow my growing conception of the All That Is. I found that I could not identify with strictly male gods. My search for the Goddess took me in many directions including modern American Witchcraft in both the Dianic and Gardnerian forms.
I also took the original Neurolinguistic Programming course with John Grinder. In my classes with him we also had the opportunity to study with several of his brothers and a young man named Tony Robbins. I have also studied with the Builders of the Adytum in Los Angeles. I have also been reading the Seth Material for many years and it has had a profound impact on my belief systems. I also took the Silva Mind Control course back in the early 70's when it was still very new. I recommend it highly. It is the most concentrated source of development of the tools of the mind I have ever found. Not in the least is my work in biology that lead to my bachelor's degree in that field.
I am also an "ordained minister" (an interesting thing for a Pagan Priestess!) in the Universal Life Church. It is a very handy credential at times.
As this site builds, I plan to expand on not only what I believe, but how I came to that and how it effects my life.
