The Badgerlover joke started about six or seven years ago; it was created by me and my best friend, Amanda. We used to watch an old kids' movie called "Once Upon a Forest", which features an old, grumpy badger named Uncle Cornelius. In the movie, his niece comes down with an awful sickness, and her friends go on an adventure to find a cure. Uncle Cornelius tries to help the children along the way, but gives them all a hard time too. One scene in particular comes to mind; Cornelius and the children are in a boat trying to cross to the other side of a teeny-tiny pond, and one of the kids flips the boat. Even though the water is only like an inch deep, Cornelius yells at the kid who flipped the boat, saying it could have "killed them all".
From that day forward, Uncle Cornelius was the butt of many a joke. One day while Amanda and I were playing Midnight Club on PS2, the Badgerlovers joke was born. We were driving our cars around the city in two-player mode, and I started pretending that I was taking my car into a building for a hot date. For some reason, I then proceeded to say that it was "Uncle Cornelius" in my car, and he was driving to meet his badger lover for a hot date. Oddly, this is how it all started. Amanda and I started crashing our cars through buildings, one of us being Cornelius, and the other being "the badger lover", and basically - yeah, the Badgerlovers were born. All of our other jokes and idosyncracies stem from this one joke. lol.
Badger Stuff
