A part time shrine maiden and a part time shop assistant, Rei Holden leads a peaceful and quiet life in Tokyo, Japan. It was a life that was about to come to a completely abrupt and drastic halt with the sudden death of her father.

Out of duty more than love, Rei flies to the States to attend his funeral, putting her face to face with the estranged family members of her father�s.
