Did you know that the phrase "helpmeet" in Gen.2:20 is actually help meet. It's TWO words not one. "The Bible teaches that woman and man were created for full and equal partnership. The word "helper" (ezer), used to designate woman in Genesis 2:18, refers to God in most instances of Old Testament usage (e.g. 1Sam 7:12; Ps 121:1-2). Consequently the word conveys no implication whatsoever of female subordination or inferiority"1.
The misunderstanding of this one scripture is often the foundation of a misguided patricarchal system within chuches. In this system men are free from the curse of the law and walk in full Christian liberty, while women are STILL paying for Eve's sin. Read about 10 Lies The Church Tells Women.

An Introduction To Women Preachers





	Are you questioning a call on your life? Do you believe that God wants you to minister His Word but have been told it's not a woman's place? Please let this page be a tool on your road to discovery. Why not start from the beginning? Why not do some word studies from the creation account in Genesis? Why not re-examine the "difficult texts" that seem to ban women from public and pulpit ministry? I want to encourage you to fast, pray and do your OWN reseach. If something you've been taught just doesn't sound right look into it. You could be on to something. Search the Scriptures. When confronted with naysayers try the spirits. Discern. Don't entertain every spirit that crosses your path. Don't BELIEVE every spirit that crosses your path either (1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world). Don't be intimidated by doctrine and dogma. Don't let tradition and culture blind you to what is being worked out in your spirit. Seek the Lord. People have their own agendas but God has a plan for your life. Be sure. Don't move too fast. Be very sure of your calling. People can do a lot of damage trying to be someone God never called them to be. Be patient. Know your role. Know your calling. Operate in your first calling first. Let the others fall into place. Ministry and church leadership are not professions, they're divine callings. Learn His voice. Spend time in His presence. Pay close attention to your teachings. Prayerfully and thoroughly investigate popular teachers and preachers before you recommend them or their products to anyone. Your credibility is on the line. If you promote or agree with a heretic what does that say about you? Remember to show love to those who disagee with you. Remember that sometimes showing love means a confrontation. Remember that everyone who doesn't approve of you isn't full of the devil. Sometimes people are just STUCK in their thinking and need to be shaken up a bit. Let the Holy Ghost do His job.
