| Raven at Howling Rabbit has a lot to offer, especially her Nepal chain stitch. About.com not only has a TON of free patterns (peyote heavy) and stitch tutorials, they also send out a FREE weekly news letter if you want to sign up! Varvara is in Russia and creates some of the most stunning netted and netted/peyote/other pieces that I have ever seen. Since I prefer open work like Netting to closed work like Peyote, her work makes me go "I CAN do something of my OWN that beautiful too!" The Bead Wrangler sampler page is one of the most comprehensive that I have ever seen there are some great examples of the Van Dyke version of netting that you usually only find in Horace Goodhue's beadweaving book. If you are looking for a lot of help on RAW (right angle weave) I really recommend Bead Dancing. She's got up help in other area's as well as RAW, and a few patterns - Like that great rose on her background! Bead Fairies are on a par with Bead Wrangler for the resources that they offer. |
