Below the seat of one of the statues of Rameses, is this picturesque carving of the god Hapy, who was the personification of the Nile Flood. Hapy appears twice "uniting" the lotus flower (the symbol of Upper Egypt) and the papyrus plant (the symbol of Lower Egypt).
