The Miracle of Rameses' Shrine

This is truly a remarkable feat of nature and engineering.  This is the innermost shrine of the Great Abu Simbel Temple.  Seated from left to right are the god of darkness/death, god of the moon (I think), Rameses, and the god of the sun, Ra.

The temple of Abu Simbel is precisely oriented by design so that only twice a year, to this very day, on Rameses birthday, and on the day he became pharoah, the sun shines directly through the entrance, penetrates the entire length of the temple, and shines on this shrine. The amazing part is, the sun ray travels from right to left, shining on Ra, for several minutes. Then the sun shines on Ra and Rameses together for several minutes. Then on Rameses himself for several minutes. Then the sunray travels to the moon god for a few minutes. Then it shines on the moon god and Rameses for several minutes. Then the sun retreats, NEVER shining on the last god, because it is the god of darkness.

Coincidence? Or divine engineering? You decide.
