Favorite Sites

I do quite a bit of internet surfing, there are however a few sites that I visit on a regular basis.  The following sites are among my favorite. I have placed them in categories for convenience.

Favorite Chat Site:

Cybertown - I have been a member of this site since 1999.  It is a family oriented site set in a virtual furture world.  This is a "pay" site; however, you are allowed a 30day trial. I would suggest that you visit, it is very addictive. You are able to get a job, buy and build your 3d home, and even buy and sell your own VRML art work.  I would suggest you drop by take a peek, be sure to stop by my house while you are there, It can be found in the Colony of Inner Realms, and the Neighborhood of Meditation. You can easily find me by doing a search on the member directory , just look up LadyDiane. Hope to see ya there.

Favorite Chat Software - It is all Free

ICQ - My all time favorite chat client, I have been using this software since 1997. Very friendly user interface,

MSN Messenger -  I  have used this off and on since 1997, free with a Hotmail account.

Yahoo Messenger - I have also used this off and on since 1998 - free with a Yahoo account.

Trillian - Okay this has to be the best of all, it has the ability to incorporate all of the three chat clients listed above. I am now able to log on once to all three clients and chat with the friends I have made on each of them. No need open all three separate chat clients. I love this software.

Favorite New Sites -

Yahoo Home Page - My home page is Yahoo, I am able to design my own front page, along with those news stories I am interested in.

USA Today -  I pull this up each morning to read my national news. I used to buy this newspaper at the newsstand, now I can just click on the page and get my update on the news.

Montgomery Advertiser - This is my news site for local news in the Montgomery Alabama Area. As I live about 40 miles from Montgomery.

Los Angeles Times -  I go to this site to keep up on the news in my hometown, Los Angeles, California

Favorite Magazine Sites -

Woman's Day - My all time favorite woman's magazine. I would venture to guess I still have issues in my house dating back many years. Now when I want to relax with my favorite magazine I go to there site.

Better Homes & Gardens - Great site, for anything to do with your home and your garden. Wonderful articles to read, and contests to enter.

Family Circle - Quite possibly the first magazine I ever subscribed to, and still a favorite for great recipes and great money saving ideas.

Taste of Home - I subscribe to the magazine itself in hardcopy.. I can't do without my cut-out recipes for my collection. I also have purchased a couple of their annual recipe books as well.

Creating Keepsakes - Great site for those of us that scrapbook. They have great articles and some wonderful layout ideas.

My list of favorite sites is not quite complete. I do have a lot of sites I visit on a regular basis. So stay tuned for more to be added. Oh, and this list will not include my absolute "can't live without sites" You know them those, wonderful, giving and loving Country Graphic Artists. Their sites will be listed on another page in the near future. Keep a look out for that to come here soon.
