My writings

New story up! I've decided to start posting my mystery stories, after all. I'm just going to put up the introduction, for now. We'll see how well (if at all) it is received, and then I might post more. I might post more anyway just for exposure. Still might get it published at some stage; we'll just have to see about that. I'd love to know what you think of it - authors live for feedback, so if you read "Tea and Conversation," I'd be endlessly grateful if you'd tell me what you thought of it. Thanks!

I have written a LOT of fanfiction. I have decided, however, that I will not post any of it here. I think writing fanfiction is an excellent exercise in stretching one's writing abilities, and it's fun besides, but I've also found that it is very misunderstood among those who have little or no exposure to it. Safer to leave it out, I think.

The other "fiction" piece I've got on offer for now isn't, strictly speaking, fiction. It's the true story of how I met my VERY long-term boyfriend. An online friend of mine asked to hear about how I met him, so I gave her the tongue-in-cheek version.

Also, I've put up some of my poetry. Most of it was written a LONG time ago. Like High School long time ago. But I still like it and think it has some redeeming value, so I've put it up for your enjoyment. If you REALLY want to read some good poetry, visit this site, or that site, or even the other site, where a very dear online friend of mine has some of her poetry up. (Note, I post on the latter site, so some of what you see here is also up there.)

I also put up an essay I wrote for a class in college that I'm rather proud of. The topic I chose was to offer a defense for classifying the right to life as a fundamental human right, which is not as easy as it sounds. Interestingly, I've yet to see how any other right can be similarly classified. Also ran across an essay on the nature of property, and decided to put that one up for kicks.
