SALLY LUNN MUFFINS 	Makes 1 dozen - Bake at 400o

From the Beaumont Inn, Harrodsburg, Kentucky, 
but it reminds me of the delicious Sally Lunn (bread) 
we enjoyed at the Christina Campbell Tavern in 
Williamsburg in 1974. The children loved it!

1/2 C butter, softened	3/4 C milk
1/3 C sugar		1-1/2 C flour
1 egg		3 tsp baking powder

Cream butter and sugar in medium bowl. 
Beat in egg till light and fluffy.
Beat till blended after each addition, alternately adding
creamed mixture and milk to a blend of flour and baking
powder. Spoon batter equally into greased 2-1/2" muffin
pans. Bake for 20 minutes @ 400o or until golden brown.
