BERRY KUCHEN ~ Chris Muoio, South Salem - 1964 Bake @ 400o Can be made w/blueberries or blackberries - EXCELLENT!!! 1 C flour + 2 Tbsp 1 Tbsp white vinegar 2 Tbsp sugar + 2/3 C 5 C berries 1/2 C butter, soft 1/8 tsp cinnamon In medium bowl, mix 1 C flour and 2 Tbsp sugar. Cut in butter then sprinkle with the vinegar. Shape into dough and with lightly floured fingers, press it into a 9" spring-form pan, 1/4" on bottom, less thick and 1 - 2" high around the sides. Into crust, carefully place 3 C berries. Mix 2 Tbsp flour, the 2/3 C sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle mixture over berries and bake on lowest rack for 50-60 minutes or until crust is well browned and filling bubbles. Remove to rack and sprinkle with remaining 2 C berries. COOL slightly before removing rim of pan. Serve warm with ice-cream, whipped cream or topping. You will not be sorry you tried this wonderful dessert!!! jc
