It couldn't be more simple!) 1 pint milk 1/2 C sugar speck salt 2 eggs, beaten 1/2 tsp vanilla Nutmeg sprinkled on top Bake one hour in a moderate oven. (To modernize: Set pyrex cups in a baking pan. Pour water in to half-way up the pyrex cups. Bake at 350-degrees until custard just begins to bubble around the outer edges and top is slightly golden brown.) jc
