When we moved from Connecticut to Florida, I told Mike he could take the girl out of her beloved New England but not New England out of his "Ladybug"!

We wanted our home to have a country feel - quite different than the typical Florida home.

In our back yard in  February!

Backyard

Spring comes early in Florida. Azaleas smile their sweet faces for months all 'round town.

"Snowbirds" vacation, happily swapping coats, boots, hats and gloves for sunshine!

 

On my first trip to Florida, in 1957, I was asked,
"What's the difference between a Yankee
and a d - - n Yankee?"

The answer I was given:
"The latter comes to Florida and decides to stay!"
