Returning from an extensive trip, our search for a mini-puppy provided this lovable two-pound, three-month-old Malti-Poo (cross between a Maltese and a Poodle), whom we named, Silver Belle, or "Belle" for short. One parent is silver in color, the other black, so we will wait to see how Belle's coloring develops as she matures.
My first full-face shot! Belle, how do you like your new home? "Well Mom, and I guess I should call you that since you're the one who usually feeds me, things here are really neat. I miss my brothers and sisters, or I did for the first couple of days, but you and Dad have given me lots of one-on-one attention. I kinda' like that so won't complain. My home at this point consists of two rooms - the office and the guests' bath with a tile floor (I wonder why), and I am learning that I get much more affection if I continue to use that newspaper she puts on the floor, or better yet, give some little indication when I need to out in that tickly-grass!"
"They take me outside and say, go potty,' whatever that's supposed to mean. I'd prefer chewing on the Floratam grass. Its roots grow along the surface of the ground and older runners are like tender twigs . . . perfect for my pointed, sharp teeth! Yes, you have probably already guessed it, Mom and Dad distract me (or try), so I will do my business.' Boy, will I ever learn all these adult terms?"
(Mom took me into the pool . . . but first, she let me ride around on a float and I decided I liked the water! (Grin)
I guess the funniest thing was when "Dad" dropped his Visa card. I picked it up and ran around the corner with it. Mom caught me with the camera and told me I couldn't go shopping! Yeah, right . . . as if I could drive the car! =(
My first grrrrrooming; 11.3.99, and although Becky was good to me, it isn't my favorite sport. Oh, they all oogled over me and said how cute I was, but . . . Then, when I got home, Mom had to take a few more pictures to show that my coloring has changed. My face is much lighter (or so they tell me) - I'm not into mirrors . . . and so it goes in the daily life of a puppy!
This is my first sniff at a grapefruit off Dad's tree.
I went on my first long trip - from Florida to New England in December. It was fun meeting family members - especially Rosie. We spent our days romping around the house, wrestling, and then napping!
Don't laugh too loudly as you see my first reaction to SNOW . . . yes, that white stuff that everyone up north raves about. Remember . . . ,
Look at what happened
"My glasses reduce the glare while riding along." (Grin)
The latest "glamour shot" taken by my "Uncle Fred."
Spring 2002: Mom was ashamed that she hadn't updated this page, but I 'yapped' until she got to it! In all fairness, she's posted lots of me on our trip pages. I *do* love to go 'RVing' with 'em!" I went to Denver in the spring to see my new 'grandbaby' but SHE got most of the the attention! (I wonder why?)
