And listing His parents as William Brummett ( b: 1700 Brittany, France ) and unknown Nicholas ( Could this be actually James 1 grandparents?. They also have James 1 having sons Thomas ( -m- Mary Burris ) and William ( -m- Rebecca Simpson , but showing that William Brummett and Rebecca Simpson having no daughter named Sarah " Sally" Brummett whom married Joab Brummett , son of George Grancer Brummett and Mary French ) , could Thomas and William be James 1 brothers ? . ** Note: Joshua was a ( volunteer ) soldier in the Mexican War of 1846. Captain James Taggart was the only war casualty. The Mexican War Veterans were gleaned from Weston Godspeed's History Of Brown County .Godspeed mentioned that at least a company of men were sent to this war, but there were only several names found in his Record.

BRUMMETTS - The roots of the Brummett family are found in Franklin County, VA, where James I was born in 1746 . He married Agnes unknown in 1765-66 . There are records of the births and marriages of James II born in 1765 in Franklin Co, VA ( not the state but Colony then ) and married Feb 17, 1786 to Sarah Riece in Pittsylvania Co, VA . He later moved to Adair County, which was in Kentucky Territory .
