This is what I think

Signatures

My grandmother died last year and left her car to my disabled brother. BUT All his stuff is under mine and my other brothers name for his care as listed in her will. Well it had taken me a year and I haven't completed all the paperwork ready to transfer the car into my name. My brother lives 60 miles from me and the executor of the will lives 60 miles from me in the opposite direction. I go to the DMV and find out I need the notorized page of the closing of the estate. I drive to the executors house and get it. I go Back to the DMV when they tell me I need both thier signatures. I drove to thier houses to get them. Then back to the DMV and find out they are supposed to be notorized. Go to a notary. She won't notorize them without all people present. It is Impossible to get all these people present. These people have jobs and lives and live 60 miles from one another. So, I am having to go back to thier houses drop off the papers, show them where the stamp needs to be and tell them to please have it notorized. What a ROYAL PAIN IN THE ASS this has been. I'm paying insurance on this car for an entire year waiting to drive it while it sits rotting in my driveway. Because I need the title to get it registered so I can get it inspected so I can get a license plate!!!! MY Point is... Why aren't our signatures worth anything anymore? Why do we sign anything if it doesn't mean anything unless we notorize it. Criminals have caused such a hassle for the good people to prove the are who they say they are that good people end up being bad people because they don't have the time, money or CAR to get things done. How obsurd. Please have your ducks in a row before you die. Give it away while your alive and sick or have it clearly and legally documented what you want!! I just needed to vent. Thank you.

Thank you for visiting.
