My Story
About 5 months ago, I sent in 20 dollars to a company called SJ Gabel.  $15 for their product and $5 for express delivery.  I FINALLY recieved my package after about a month.  Which I always thought that express delivery meant it would be at your home or post office in a matter of days.  I spoke with my post master and she told me that the money order that I sent would be there in about 3 days, and IF they were sending my package back by express, it should be here within 5-6 days.  Then you have to give a little time for processing and delays in shipment of both the letter and the package.  The maximum time for me to recieve my package at the most was two weeks.  But it took them a month to send it to me.  Though I paid for express, I did not seem to get it.  That is the first way I feel that I was cheated.
When my package got here, I began to work.  I guess this is where I should explain what the company does.  They are a work from home company.  They provide you with names and locations of companies that are offering work from home opportunities.  They also have programs that allow you to work directly for them and recruit clients for them.  I did this as well.  They get you a website and then you place ads and get hits to your site and when someone signs up, you get a commission.  Well, as soon as I recieved my package, I began to work.  First I requested my website, then I started researching all of the companies that were in the materials they sent me.  Most of them required you to pay up-front for materials and so forth, I did not see a point in paying twice for a job, seeing as how I had already paid SJ Gabel once.  So I gave up on the companies that they sent me.  I got my website URL and I began putting all of my time into recruites.  I placed ads for hours and hours on end, sometimes until two o'clock in the morning.  The company stated in their materials that if you constantly update your ads and answer replies immidiately, you would do pretty well, which I did both.  I was working, doing about the same thing for a month.  Then I got emails telling me that they had signed up for this and were waiting on their packettes.  Which meant that I made commissions that the company had not informed me about.  Then there was the email that told me that my company was a fraud.  I was very upset.  I wrote back with the intention to defend the company.  It was a very rude letter actually.  The reply stated simply "here is your proof".  There was a rather large attachment.  I read it and it was full of email addresses and names.  I couldnt count them all.  I started emailing them randomly and each reply told me pretty much the same story, how they had waited for a month for their package even though they had sent in the extra $5 for express and that they worked very hard and did not recieve any money for the work they had done nor did they recieve commisions for the referrals and sign-ups they'd made.
I was upset, so I sent the company a letter hoping they would make it right and refund my money, but instead I got a very nasty letter threatening to take me to court if I continued to "spread vicious lies and commit slander".  I dont think I was doing either.  So I continued my fight and I have not won yet but I wont give up.  They will never scare me away.  That's why us Americans have free speech!
Update 3/1/07
Still nothing out of this company, but I guess I wouldnt expect any different. But that is why my site is here, I want to warn people about these work from home sites, they DO NOT WORK! Please dont let these people suck you into their world.Even if you were to make a few dollars you will be taking hard earned money away from other people, and that is not moral! I hope this has been informative to any who veiw it.
