Dear Diary,
Nathaniel was going to Tim's house and I asked him if maybe I could go over to Meagan's. I asked her last night if it was too soon for us to see her again. She said no, but she wanted us to come early so we could see this other 8 month old girl that she babysits for.
So this morning we got the babies all ready and we went over to Meagan's house. On the way Nathaniel talked to Timothy. He said that he was at a shop getting his truck fixed. So in the meantime Nathaniel went with me and the babies to Meagan's. I really love Meagan's parent's house. It has this really large living room that is just so inviting. It is quite a homey place. Meagan seemed surprised that we got there so early. As usual my sweet little neices came smiling to greet us. This must be something that Autumn taught Mikayla, since Autumn has always been such a great little greeter. I really think they are great kids.
The other little baby, Emily was quite a bit bigger than CJ. I think she is either Mikayla's size or quite close to it. It was amazing to see how she could crawl everywhere. She can even hold on to things and walk around. It is strange that she fits the one book on baby development for this age and CJ fits the other.
It was strange my little girl just takes everything in stride. I really think she has a great personality. She sat in the little walker that Meagan had and she couldn't touch the ground with her feet. There were two little toys on it and she was trying to play with them. The other little kids were pulling them away and she just looked at them. She didn't even get upset. Autumn loves her so much that she is always grabbing her and picking her up and the like and CJ just seems to like or tolerate it all. Even though Mikayla and her almost had their first fight. They each had a blanket and CJ grabbed Mikayla's with one hand. I am not even sure if she knew she had Mikayla's blanket but they pulled back and forth. It was kind of funny seeing this miniature almost nine month old and a big 20 month old pulling back and forth. They were both a little tired. I know it is just the ages that they are but I do think they like each other. Mikayla is such a quiet child. She always has. I remember her as a little baby she didn't seem to like being held unless she could look around. Meagan and I can't wait until the babies are a little older and can run around and play like Autumn does.
Tim had come and picked up Nathaniel around noon or so. I ordered pizza since I was feeling quite weak and I thought I needed something to eat. It was good even though it cost me much more than I would have liked to spend. I had told Nathaniel that I didn't want to go to Pizza Hut without a coupon.
My little niece Autumn seems quite interested in the way I feed Isaac and always wants to help. It is really cute. It doesn't bother me I just hope someday she will remember and breastfeed her own babies. She kept telling me "I think Isaac needs a drink" or something along those lines.
Meagan's mother came home from work and saw Isaac for the first time. I really like Meagan's mother she is really nice. I also like her father. Nathaniel thought it was cool that he said that "maybe we skipped numbers 1 and 2 and were on 3 and 4", when he saw the babies. Meagan's mom Chris held Isaac up in front of CJ and looked at them. Later Meagan gave Autumn, Mikayla, and CJ a bath together. She did a really good job with all of them. I held Isaac while she did it. Meagan's sister Moriah had made supper and she gave me a plate. She is a good cook like Meagan. It was really neat watching their family at supper. Chris is such a good mom. She seems to know just what her kids are doing and why. She seems like a friend but is also still in charge. |
