Beautiful was a stray cat at our house in Gibsonton, FL. She showed up one day hungry and pregnant. We shared Grunt's food with her and she stayed. I also fed a bunch of other strays. She was the only friendly one. She must have had those kittens but they must have all died. This cycle repeated itself since we weren't allowed to have another pet and so could not have her inside. I know that there are a lot of cats in the world and too many to all be adopted from the pound so we kept her hoping the day would come when we could do more.
We were getting ready to move to our house in Port Richey and she had another batch of kittens. She brought one to the house and we set up a place for it, but by the time we came home from work it had been bitten up by ants and was almost dead. We brought it into the house and tried to warm it up. It was pretty far gone. We didn't have much money so we took it to a place that will let you sign over the rights to it and they will help it medically. I really hope that the kitten lived. They wouldn't tell us anything. Beautiful cried a lot after that. We felt really bad. Before we could get her fixed she was pregnant again.
We moved into our new house and were determined that this set of kittens would live. We kept her inside and June 2000 while we were in MI for Grandpa Orin's funeral she gave birth to 4 kittens. They all lived and were given to good homes. As soon as that happened she finally got fixed.
