Water spirit who usually appears as an old man with a fat belly, wearing a reed cap and a belt of rushes. He can be benevolent or malevolent, depending on his mood. In a mischievous mood, he surprises fisherman and overturns their boats he may also drown bathers.  (Ref 3)
