The Humble History of MDR

When I first saw the Mighty Ducks a few years back, I immediately liked the show. I used to run Mallory McMallard's web page where I displayed fan art and fan fiction. Even after the show was canceled (after only 26 eps!) I thought I keep my page going for a long time. Then, my account was hacked and I was locked out of my page forever. After a bit, my interests turned away from the ducks. I started working on a new page - a short lived ReBoot page and doing new fan fiction and art. For the last year or so I've been maintaining a Dragon Ball Z page, The Saiyan Royal Throne Room . I barely looked back upon my MD days.

Then one day I found myself watching the old eps again, which I had taped and I drew a pic of Mallory. I was surprised I still could, because I hadn't tried in 2 years or so. Out of no where, a new idea for a new story occurred to me and I wrote "Between Chaos and Order." The story came out better than I expected and I submitted the story as well as let some friends read it.

One friend told me he liked the story, but he had one problem with it. It was really unlike anything he had seen in the series and I didn't even include Dragaunus but had my own villian instead. He said that it would be better as another series. That got me to thinking. What if I did created a new season for the ducks? I quickly sketched out some ideas.

I contacted some friends and slowly our ideas began to come together. We would create a new season comprised mostly of comics. This new season, called MDR, would try to recapture the charm of our beloved show, but still allow it to move in a slightly more mature fashion. We're not talking about crude jokes and bad language, but you'll see what I mean when you read.

So goes the humble beginnings of MDR. I hope you enjoy our work!
