| How JEM made her Impression on me. | |||||||||||
| I was 5. I was watching my normal boy based cartoons on the USA network, waiting for wrestling to come on(go ahead n laugh yes professional wrestling). All of a sudden their was an unfamiliar theme music. Thinkin to myself " another new boy cartoon whoo who" Jem oooo Jem. huh? this doesn't sound to boyish. And there they were a bunch of colorful ladies. "cool something new!" I was hooked!!. Then a few weeks later, on a beautiful summer day, they were playing "Starbright" I couldn't tear myself away from the tube. My friends tried to pry me away but I wouldn't budge. My 6th birthday was nearing. I had the habit of gift snooping. I found to gifts in my mom's room all wrapped. I decided to shake them to see what they were. One was a barbie sized box, I knew it had to be JEM! The other was the size of a box of crayons, it sounded like one to. So the night before my birthday I couldnt sleep a wink!! They day finally arrived!!! after my normal birthday with friends, it was they family birthday thing. I ripped open that big gift first!!! I was right it was JEM!!! I was SO happy!!! Then it was that small gift, it was not crayons...it was the mail away cassette JEM and the Holograms. Boy was I a happy camper!!! now I had 2 tapes. The other one was Cyndi Lauper. | |||||||||||
| Well next came Christmas. My grandma had gotten me guess what another Jem/Jerrica doll!!! it was really great! my original one had been uh well beaten up, she didnt bend or hold a pose her earrings didn't flash. So it was really great! My original JEm beat to death in 6 months. My birthday is in June. I couldn't wait to get home. Of course I got the standard stuff, socks, clothes, and a few barbies. Then as I was about to open what I thought was another Barbie, I pulled back the wrapper, it was AJA!!! then then next one was Kimber and last but not least Shana!!! I also got a lot of jem clothes. | |||||||||||
| For the next few holidays I got different JEMs. Rock n Curl was at easter. Glitter N gold was birthday 7 and my last doll was my favorite, Jetta. Then I didn't know, JEM had been discontinued. :( | |||||||||||
| I am still hunting for Jem. I came across a lot of jem stuff on Ebay. That is how I found my latest addition to my collection, Clash. I had to take her out of her box, it was a bad box. | |||||||||||
| One thing great about jem, she taught us a lot. So join us with email sony wonder who owns the rights to JEM's music, And the FOX network, to get JEM on the air. I hope to get some links set up for that! | |||||||||||
