Sibling(s): Emily Moyra Byrne (half-sister) Abilities: Seeing the dead. The dead she sees can be, and have been, either animal or human. They have unresolved business. More often than not, Victoria has seen dead that have horribly passed on and as such portray their horrors quite visually upon their 'spiritual' selves. However, there are those rare few that had not tended to portray themselves in such a light...or should that be 'dark'. Victoria can be called a 'medium'...perhaps go as far as labeling her a 'ghost whisperer'. But, don't count on her to label herself. As a matter of fact, she resents having such abilities and seldom considers them anything but a curse. Despite her unwants, through them she's come to understand that not only places are haunted, but the living are haunted as well. She can't control who or what she sees, because they constantly hover around her immediate field of vision. A few times she has revealed what she sees, at the expense of being ridiculed and subsequently shunned....even threatened to be killed, as one night in a tavern with a distraught, grieving man came to prove. This only serves to strengthen her resolve and keep herself quiet about her abilities. Yet, she fears that being quiet will not be enough to get her out of some obsessive, compulsive beings' spotlights... Greatest fear: Wolf-like bipeds. A.K.A. werewolves, garous, anthro wolves...or whatever other label describes these ferocious creatures. She has a phobia of them, a condition that has been medically diagnosed as chronic. She's come in contact with them once or twice and the encounter has taken her to the brink of insanity, yet she manages to pull back just enough to convince herself, and her doctors, that she is able to live on her own. |
