Mother Nature's Sea

In the dark of night, Lightning flashes,
Thunder roars and sends a message.
Feel the power in the wind,
Know it's strength will soon descend
upon your fragile craft.
How can you help but fear,
the strength and power,
Oh, so near?
The fury of the raging winds?
The salty spray the sea sends,
lashing across your decks?
The price is high in lives and goods,
with yours to head the list.
Will you accept the challenge,
to wade into the mist,
Of battle waged upon the blue?
The gauntlet's thrown and you accept!
You gauge your oppnents speed and depth.
Your heart thunders in your chest,
where fear and love combine!
The blood flows faster through your veins!
Your eyes begin to shine!
As you prepare to take the test.
To pit your strength against the best.
How high is your endurance level?
How strong must you be?
To win through to Storm's end?

To beat Mother Nature's Sea?
