The Crying Tree of Mercury
The brains behind the opperation, Sailor Mercury is the pretty and brilliant senshi of ice.  She's a certified genius who will think out the situation while the others rush in blindly.  She carries a handheld computer and a visor that help her scout out the problem.  Her alter-ego, Mizuno Ami, is regarded as a typical nerd.  She is a genius, but she also has social skills.  Her mother is a doctor, and she has no father, making her unused to dealing with boys.

In the manga, the Princess of Mercury and Zoisite were lovers during the Silver Millennium.   She is the second senshi accuired.

Double Shabon Spray Freezing (Double Mercury Ice Storm Splash) A more powerful version of the one above
Shine Aqua Illusion -She sends out a powerful freezing blast of water to prevent the baddie from moving

Mercury Ice Rhapsody -She creates a harp out of ice and plays it which causes the baddie to be assulted by ice.

Lady Sorrow's Opinion
At first Mercury seemed to be the steriotypical nerd excepy that she's pretty.  Then I  learned that she also knows how to have fun.  She's also increadibly brave.  She not very powerful, but that's ok.  Her strength is not fighting, but anilizing data and coming up with a plan.  And she's very cute.  I love her now.  She could have gotten a better voice on the dubbed version, though.
