His Spider from Mars
Sailor Mars is the spiritual warrior of fire.    She's the one most determined to succeed and is annoyed by Sailor Moon's half assed attempt at being a senshi.  In day to day life, she is known as Hino Rei.  She's the daughter of a politician and lives with her grandfather at Hikawa Shrine.  She goes to a different school than the rest of the inner senshi- a private Catholic school (I used to go to one of those).  Her sixth sense is more advance than most people's and she's always been able to detect evil.  And even in every day life she has the power over fire.  She speaks to the fire (she's a pyromancer) and can use her Ofuda scrolls.  She is the most holy of all the senshi.  But watch out, she's a firecracker!

In the manga, the Princess of Mars and Jedite were lovers during the Silver Millinium.  She is the third Senshi aquired.

Fire Soul (Mars Fire Ignite) -She shoots a fireball at the baddie
Fire Soul Bird (Mars Firebird Strike) -She creates a bird out of fire which flies toward the target.
Burning Mandala (Mars Celestial Fire Surround) -Here she launches several fire balls at the enemy, causing it to surround them
Manga only:  Mars Snake Fire Like the Fire Soul Bird, only the fire is in the form of a snake.
Mars Flame Sniper -She creates a bow out of fire and shoots a flaming arrow at the target

Items:
Ofuda- In the original she chants " Rin, pyou, tou, sha, kai, jin, retsu, sai, zen, Akuryou taisan!"  The last words, "Akuryou taisan," are writtian on the Ofuda scrolls.  Translated, it means "evil spirit begone".  She uses these scrolls on the dub too, but in a slightly different manner.  She has always been able to use her Ofuda scrolls, even before she was Sailor Mars.
Lady Sorrow's opinion:
Well, I'll be honest.  At first I simply hated Rei.  She was mean, pushy, she yelled alot and had a bad temper, much like my sister.  But then I see that later in the series, she and Usagi become the closest of friends.  When Makoto first met them, she thought they were sisters!  Then, after finding out that they weren't, she decided that they must be really close friends.  She has a really kind, sweet side, that only comes out if you know her.  Sure, she gets mad easily, but she still has a nice personality.  When she's not yelling, that is.  She's not religious, but very spiritial and deep.  I love her now.
