Special Feelings
July 1981
My husband's favorite! He's my mountain man.

    Wind blowing in the trees,
    And creek water running,
    Little birds singing sweet melodies,
    And crickets chirping,
Brings a special feeling to me
When all these things my ears can hear.

The aroma of a campfire winding towards me,
    The perfume of flowers blooming,
Smells from a forest of pine trees,
    And fresh air so satisfying,
Brings a special feeling to me
When all these smells my nose can smell.

The tartness of a wild strawberry,
And the bark of the willow on which you are whistling,
    The sweetness of wild honey,
    And blackberries finished ripening,
Brings a special feeling to me
When all these tastes my tongue can taste.

The quaking leaves of an aspen tree,
    And chipmunks playing,
    Wild flowers so lovely,
    And nature?s beautiful colors blending,
    Brings special feeling to me
When all these sights my eyes can see.

The softness of a thimbleberry leaf,
And a soft breeze on my face blowing,
    Pine needles underneath my feet,
And cool water through my fingers flowing,
Bring a special feeling to me
When all these things I can feel.
