Morwenna Westerne was born in Cornwall during the reign of Queen Elizabeth. She traveled to London to be properly educated as befits her noble station. She spends her days quietly sewing, embroidering and making confections, although she also enjoys translating and reciting some of the racier bits of Ovid, much to the horror of her mother. She can often be found consorting with foreigners, particularly the Boyar Aleksandr Ruslanovich, who came to London with a delegation from Tsar Ivan IV.
Abigail Weiner spent most of her life studying dead Romans and their writings. This has resulted in several impressive sounding degrees, but no practical skills. She lives in a century old house in Dorchester with Alex Newman, one small gorilla, and a cloistered black cat.

Persona: 12th-ish Century Manx (Ynys Manaw/Isle of Mann)
Motto: Creeaght As Onnoroil Er Son Dy Bragh (Courage and Honor Forever, Manx Gaelic)
Affiliations: Coeur de Flamme Tournament Company, Apprentice to Maitresse Nicolette Bonhomme
Ladan is what one might refer to as a bit of a tomboy. Though she dresses the part of
a typical Manx lady as needed, she's just as prone to put on armor or pick up a hurley stick and
show all those foreigners just how Manxwomen are raised. Growing up on Ynys Manaw, a land invaded by
the Scots, Irish, and Vikings on a fairly regular basis, men and women alike had to learn
most of the martial arts from a very young age as a matter of sheer survival. Accordingly, she's
picked up the fairly unusual skills of swordsmanship, bowmanship, and fencing, even though
she is a woman (or so rumor would have it). Unfortunately, the hostile climate and frequent invasions
of her homeland didn't really leave much time for courtly manners; up until her arrival in the
Barony of Carolingia, she'd never even heard of Barons or Baronesses much less met any. She's still
working on the whole concept of Court, not to mention courtly garb, but is trying very hard
to learn the proper ways of a more civilized and peaceful society. Though her manners can be a bit lacking
at times due to her rather unconventional and uncivilized upbringing, she usually does mean well and
is working very hard in her new homeland to improve upon them. And maybe someday, they'll make a lady of her yet!
Jennifer Davis, or Jenn as most people know her, is a project manager for Genuity. Aside from playing in
the SCA, she enjoys reading, cross-stitching, rugby, ballet dancing, figure skating, blues music,
good wine and beer, and political research and debating. She currently lives in Salem, MA in her dream house with her dog Halo, cat LeStat, and boyfriend Tim.
Feel free to contact her if you have any questions about this site or the workshops, as long as it's not
during Farscape. =)
