Godiva: How did you know you wanted to do voice acting and around what age did you realize you could do voices? Cam Clarke: I've always messed around w/ doing voices since I was a little kid of 6 or 7, I'd do Alfred Hitchcock or Jimmy Durante. Godiva: What would one day be like in the life of Cam Clarke? Cam: Most days are spent either auditioning or doing the job. Pretty simple! Godiva: What made you want to voice Liquid Snake and how did you get that job? Cam: Liquid snake was just one of the many things I auditioned for at the time and they gave me the part. Godiva: What was the difference between Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes and which one did you like doing better? Cam: Well, if my memory is correct, I'm barely in the 2nd one so I guess the first is my favorite. Godiva: Do you think you and Liquid are alike or different? Cam: Liquid and I are extremely alike! For I too am evil and want to take over the world!! ;-) Godiva: What was it like working with the Metal Gear Solid cast? Cam: We all recorded separately. Godiva: Do you own any Metal Gear Solid games or action figures? Cam: Truth is, I've never played a video game in my life! Pretty scarey, huh? And yes, I have the action figure. Godiva: You did a beautiful job singing for Simba in The Lion King 2, did you audition for Simba or did they just want you to sing? Cam: Actually, I had already recorded most of Simba's Pride (speaking part) because Matthew Broderick didn't have time in his schedule and then at the last minute, he freed up. I was very disappointed. but they still prefered my singing voice to his. Godiva: What is your most favorite character and why? Cam: Der Fledermaus on "The Tick". It was incredibly well written. Godiva: Do you ever find yourself using one of you're character voices in real life? Cam: The day I start using one of my character voices in real life is the day they need to lock me up! No, I prefer leaving my work at work. Godiva: Which one of your characters does your natural voice sound most like? Cam: Detective Nevell in "Scooby Doo on Zombie Island." Random Personal Questions Godiva: What is you're favorite type of music and singer? Cam: My favorite type of music is x-mas music! And my favorite singer is my mother, Alyce King of the King Sisters singing group. Godiva: Do you have a favorite movie, food, color? Cam: My favorite movie is "Scrooge the Musical", chocolate ice cream, and any shade of green. Godiva: Do you have a favorite sport or team? Cam: I love gymnastics. Godiva: How tall are you?! Cam: 6'0" Godiva: What are your favorite things to do? Cam: I love going to the movies. I see just about everything that comes out! |
