The moment I was born,
My forehead received it's first kiss.
You were filled with overwhelming pride,
That not a soul could miss.
If I could remember my thoughts,
That moment I was brought into this world.
I know without a doubt, those thoughts would be...
"Look at me, I'm daddy's little girl!"
When I started walking,
In your big shoes I'd stomp around.
Of course, you'd always catch me,
Just before I hit the ground.
You'd spin me 'round and 'round,
While all the world went by in a whirl.
All the while I'd be thinking...
"Look at me, I'm daddy's little girl!"
As years went by,
And boyfriends came and went.
I thought of all those memories,
Those special times we've spent.
The time had come for you to walk me down the aisle,
As my hair received one last curl.
My heart filled with love, as I clung to your arm,
For all I could think of was...
"Look at me, I'm STILL daddy's little girl!"
