Lying beside you, as night turns to day.
Watching the sun wash over your face.
Realizing how much I love you, in a way
My heart can barely keep up the pace.
I think of our years together,
Those that have past, and those yet to come.
I cherish how we were strong
through all the bad weather,
And look forward to embracing the triumphs
that are yet to be done.
I still feel blessed for the day you came into my life.
You took away all the days of sadness and tears,
And overwhelmed me with joy
