Rules of Grammar home back to alphabet
Using the vocabulary in Tolkien's works, some guesswork and generalizations can be made to help reconstruct the language of the Elves.  About 60 verbs are given; from these tenses, 5 tenses of the Quenya verbs and 6 tenses of the Sindarin verbs can be generalized.  **Keep in mind that "tirith" (watching, guard), "sirith" (a flowing) and "girith" (shuddering) are nouns and adjectives, not verbs.**
