Earthtone Wyvern Roost
Adlana smiles and leads you over to an odd little building nestled in a scenic valley. The building looks like it has been made to look oriental, and you marvel at its decorative roof and bright coloration.

As you approach the front door, you see a makeshift wooden sign with "Earthtone Roost" written in hasty lettering. Adlana grins and explains it to you. "I was at a loss as to what to name this place, but they I realized that the first three wyverns to come live here were all brown. Earthtone is more of a joke, really. I might change the name a bit later, or maybe it will stick, who knows?"

She pushes open the door and leads you in to a small entryway. A narrow hallway, flanked by glass walls on the inner side, goes off to the right and left, and a small air-lock type room is ahead of you. Adlana motions for you to get into the room and follows close behind. After the first door is shut securely, she opens the inner one, and you go into a very large central room that apparently takes up the entire first floor of the structure, with the exception of the hallway that goes all around it.

Immediately you hear the shrill chittering of several small reptilian creatures. Wyverns, you assume. There are several sitting on perches around the room, while some fly around the room. You look around, fascinating by the cute little things.

"Well, let me introduce you to the critters. Pretty elaborate set-up we've got here, but some of them aren't quite tame," she explains, and leads you over to the nearest perch, where a dark brown and tan wyvern sits. Her tail and wings twitch like she's hyper.
"This little girl is called Camou, short for Camouflage" Adlana tells you and gives her little rub under the chin. She's pretty good most of the time, but she can be a trouble maker." Adlana laughs as Camou jumps up and sits on her head, looking very pleased with herself. "Get off you silly creature!" Adlana grins and shakes her head, causing the wyvern to fly back to her perch.

Next, Adlana points up to one of the wyverns flying around the room. Immediately you notice that he's different from the others. Instead of the normal dragon-like wings, he has four dragonfly wings!
"That's Chance, one of the few dragonfly wyverns in existance," Adlana looks up at him fluttering around the large room. "I don't think he was ever properly trained or ever will be, and he's always trying to escape, hence all of the locked doors." Adlana puts her hand on her hips and gives Chance a mock glare. "Get down here, mister, and let our guest see you!" She scolds.

Chance chitters loudly and divebombs Adlana. "Wierdo, thing!" Adlana yells at the wyvern as she ducks.

Another brown wyvern sits on one of the taller perches. Adlana shoos Chance away and takes you over to it.
"Heh, as you can see, Dune here is half mechanical, which makes him a bit odd. He's a bit of a grouch, so a try not to get to close when he's feeling grumpy. Liable to get whacked with that metal tail of his!" The mech wyvern chitters an unhappy response, and Adlana giggles. "Awww, don't worry, Dune, you're still a cutie in my book!"

Before Adlana can take you over to the next perch, a pink wyvern comes out of nowhere and lands on her shoulder. "This cheeky guy is Cherubim, so named because of his love-ly colors." She grins at the corny pun. "Rumor has it that he was captured on Valentine's day, so perhaps that accounts for it," She winks and ruffles his hair a little bit.
"As you can see, Cherub is another rare dragonfly wyvern, like Chance. He's much better behaved, though, which is rare for a wild," Adlana explains as you gaze at the wyvern. "Heh, just don't pick on him about being a pink male, or you'll never hear the end of it."

Cherubim rolls his eyes and squeaks, then flies off indignantly. Another wyvern, this one bright yellow and orange, chitters and chases Cherub around the ceiling. Apparently he came into her airspace or something. You grin and watch as the flame-colored wyvern lands on one of the perches and gives Adlana an evil glare.
Adlana shakes her head disapprovingly. "That girl is Singe, aptly named, I think. She can be very sweet sometimes, but she does have a bit of a temper." Adlana scoots a little closer to the wyvern, and she chitters and flutters her wings unhappily. "She's a captive bred, but acts more like the wilds sometimes," Adlana says and coos softly at Singe to calm her down.

When you have finished admiring Singe's lovely coloring, you look up to see a light blue wyvern with a bit of white on the tips of its wings.
"And that hyper guy is called Stratus, he loves flying around as you can see, and he's pretty happy most of the time," Adlana says, watching the blue wyvern soar and dive around the ceiling. "The white on his wings is a fairly rare color for wyverns, and I'm hoping to breed him and perhaps bring it out more in his offspring." Stratus chitters happily and dives down to one of the perches, where he takes a short break from his aerobic acrobatics. You pet his head, and he makes a cute cooing sound.

When you have met all of the Roost residents, Adlana shows you little plaques on the wall that have information about each wyvern posted on them. "I'll let you take a look at that, and then show you out, I suppose," Adlana says. "Not much else to see at the moment, but if you return later, we might have wyverns for sale. We're expecting a few more arrivals anytime now, so you might want to see the new wyverns as well."
