| Chapter 2 New Allies Al and Angel were walking down town, catching up on old times. They had been walking for an hour talking about their past, and adventures in other countries. Angel felt it was nice being able to talk to someone who knew her secret. To her it was heaven. To Al, as much as he didn�t mind having a friend who was a mutant, he felt the mutant registration should be a law. He did feel sorry for her but there were too many mutants in the US who take advantage of their mutant powers. �Angel,� Al started. �You know I how feel about mutants right?� �Yes, you wish the registration should be a law,� she said. �Yeah. If it ever does, will we still be friends?� �You are entitled to your opinion.� She stopped and looked to her friend. �But, if the law was enforced, I don�t know what I will do. I will be forced to reveal my powers. And I would be classified as arm and dangerous, worse than Magneto.� �Who is he again?� �He�s a man who can move any kind of metal.� �Well I hate to cut things short,� Al said. �But I�m do at the Toursend Museum at noon. I�m showing off some antique English swords.� �Oh. How long are you doing that?� �Three days. Then I�ll be taking a vacation.� The two gave each other a hug, and then Al turned and headed off to the museum, which was a few blocks away. When Al was out of sight, Angel turned back around. She walked a few hundred feet before seeing a newsstand. She stopped and found a Hawaiian paper with a strange picture. Quickly she picked up the paper and bought it. She went across the street, which had a park and sat down at one of the nearest benches. The picture on the front page is what caught her eye. A Hawaiian caught a man covered in black with a black mask boarding some sort of weird jet. The picture was taken in front of a huge cave. After reading the article about the picture, which say much. She got up and went towards the beach. When she got to the beach, she rented a boat and scuba gear and took off to an area of water where she wouldn�t be seen. Putting the scuba gear, she got ready to go in the water. She was going to swim to Hawaii. Her mutant powers allowed her to swim like a fish at great speed. Many times she thought herself to be like the comic book heroine, Wonderwoman. /////////// Seadust arrived in the Warp Room but wasn�t alone long. She turned in time to see a green Transformer, in vehicle mode, which was a jet, arrive. When he seen that Seadust was in the room, he transformed. He was mostly green but his hands and face and any part of his body that would be hidden while in vehicle form was yellow. A cockpit was turned upside down and laid part way down his back with his wings folded in to lie against his sides. She gave him an odd look. �Airstreaker.� �What?� he said looking at the blue, triple changer, female Autobot. �The fastest way to get here is to fly.� Much like Airstreaker, Seadust had light blue for the armor that would become hidden in vehicle mode. She was a triple changer car and boat. When she was in bot mode, no one could tell what type of transformation she had. �I see you got the message from Optimus.� One of the attached messages was to Airstreaker. �Yeah and it was from Scavenger. He has requested me personally to be on this voyage to Earth.� �I�ve decided that I�m going to go as well.� �You know Optimus Prime will not like that,� he said crossing his arms. �Besides that would mean you will need someone to take your place here.� �I know, but I�m not going to let Optimus face Megatron alone. Also, thanks to Spybeak...� A small mechanical creature that looked exactly like Lazerbeak, who was on Earth, landed on Seadust�s shoulder. �I�ve learned that Megatron has asked Tornado to join him.� �Tornado! Don�t you and her have a vendetta like Optimus and Megatron?� Airstreaker asked uncrossing his arms and walked towards the female leader. �Yes and Optimus has never met her. He only knows her by reputation and I�m the only who knows that virus�s fighting style.� �How many are you going to send to Earth?� �I haven�t decided yet. Optimus Prime wants supplies sent as well.� �Then I�d suggest that you send five,� Airstreaker suggested. �The shuttle craft Martle has a small storage room and is big enough for five Autobots. �It�s the only one that can slip past the Decepticon Moon, Tiffu, undetected.� Seadust turned. She walked up to a small monitor and brought up a picture that was taken from Earth. �Before I left the Control room, I sent Optimus Prime a message, letting him know we received the message and backup will be on their way.� �Good. I just hope the Decepticons didn�t pick up on the signal.� �Oh, they didn�t. I�ve rigged the computer to send the signal in the ion trail of when Optimus Prime, Hotshot and Red Alert left for Earth.� �You�re good,� Airstreaker said. �Why didn�t you ever join the science team?� �I�m not that good. I just know a few tricks,� Seadust said. �And those tricks have protected this base on numerous occasions.� Both Seadust and Airstreaker turned to see a blue and white Autobot enter the room. The Autobot was an aircraft type with wings pointing to the ground. His cockpit was part of his head. When he�d transform his head would turn and a shield, the same color as him, would cover his face. �Don�t tell me,� Airstreaker said. �You�re planning on coming on this venture too, Comet?� Comet looked to his comrade noting the sarcasm in his voice, �I�m not sure yet. I would like to. My platoon leader has asked to speak with me in a few minutes and I believe it�s about the mission.� Comet looked up and noticed the picture Seadust was looking at. He walked passed the female leader to get a closer look. Seadust knew what got his attention and looked at the monitor. �Beautiful isn�t it?� Even Airstreaker looked at the monitor. �Yeah. Where was this taken?� Comet asked. �On Earth. I�m not sure if it�s located near the Autobot base but it�s a picture of a waterfall in a forest.� �It�s amazing,� Comet said. �Well I better leave and get to my leader�s office.� �Yeah, there�s a few things I got to do to prepare for the meeting,� Seadust said. �I�ll help you,� Airstreaker said. They turned from the monitor and began working. Comet in the meantime left the room to see his platoon leader. He couldn�t wait to get the chance to go to Earth. He remembered being offered many times by Optimus Prime, himself, to join his team and this time he wasn�t going to pass up the opportunity. He was going to be on that shuttle to Earth even it meant a court marshal. //////// Before leaving the base, Starscream gave Red Alert the coordinates to plug into the computer so they could warp to the cave. When the coordinates were set, Hotshot, Starscream, Red Alert and Scavenger arrived at the entrance of the cave on the island of Hawaii. When they went to transform to bot mode, Hotshot had to wait a few seconds while Rad and Alexis got out. �Wow,� Alexis said looking in the big cave. Her and Rad were wearing their uniforms. �That is some big entrance. I wonder what could have created such a big hole?� �Erosion?� Rad guessed. �Doubtful. It looks more like hole made by a falling comet.� �It was,� Starscream commented. �This cave has been here for about five thousand years.� �I suppose this human was the one who told you?� Alexis asked. �Matter of fact, yes.� �Ok. Enough chit chat,� Red Alert said a little impatient. �Let�s get to work. That tunnel looks to pretty deep. And it seems best to on foot.� Red Alert bent down to Alexis, placing his only hand on the ground for her to climb up. Hotshot did the same for Rad. When the kids were in the hands of their friends, they proceeded to start their search. �Let�s get Lazerbeak to have a head start,� Alexis suggested. �Excellent idea,� Scavenger agreed. He turned to look at Rad who already had the miniature bot in hand and was about to send him off. When Lazerbeak left Rad�s hand, Alexis brought out her locater, which was connected to Lazerbeak and watched from the little monitor at what Lazerbeak saw. The four Transformers and kids followed Lazerbeak to a fork in the road. When they got to the fork, Lazerbeak was floating in mid air waiting for them. He didn�t even know which way to go. �What now?� Rad asked. �I�m not sure,� Alexis answered. �Starscream was this here before?� �No. It might be part a trap or one leads to a dead end to take you off the path.� �We�ll split into teams,� Red Alert suggested. �Scavenger. You and Starscream take the left, while Hotshot and I take the right. Alexis you go with Starscream.� �Sure,� she said, as she was set back down to the ground. Starscream groaned but didn�t object. He didn�t like the idea of having the female human in the cockpit of his jet. The last time he had a human with him, the human was asking too many questions. He transformed to jet to allow Alexis to climb in. When she started to climb in, Red Alert continued on. �Take Lazerbeak with you. We can use Jolt.� �Ok.� Alexis climbed in the rest of the way and waited for Lazerbeak to head off in their direction. Starscream and Scavenger weren�t long following. The remaining Autobots transformed and left down the other tunnel with Rad in Hotshot. Jolt was their guide. As they drove done the tunnel, following Jolt, Rad spoke out. �Starscream must have been right. A comet would not brake and make two tunnels the same height.� �More than likely, this tunnel is a dead end. The Decepticons probably dug this to veer us off course.� �Hey guys,� Hotshot shouted in excitement. �Jolt found something up ahead.� �Let�s get moving,� Rad said. /////////// Down the other tunnel, Alexis remained quiet as she watched her locator of Lazerbeak�s findings. Alexis was little uncomfortable being in a one-man jet. She was use to being in a car. Of course it didn�t help that she was never in plane. Starscream noticed her discomfort but disregarded it for the time being. �Any luck?� Scavenger asked through the intercom. �Nothing yet Scavenger,� Alexis said. �Lazerbeak did find some small holes but not deep enough to fit a human.� �They were put there,� Starscream said, �by the Mini-Cons doing target practice.� �Target practice?� Scavenger questioned. �Wait! Lazerbeak sees something!� Alexis said excitedly. The two Transformers sped off faster to an opened room. Starscream landed to allow Alexis out then transform. Scavenger also transformed. They were in a huge room with metal crates and empty tables. A bed was off to the side, showing that there was a human staying there. A half eaten meal was left on the bed. Alexis walked up to the food to give it a quick smell. �They weren�t gone long,� she said. �The food is still warm. Megatron must have left here, with the guy not too long ago.� �See if there is any evidence of the chemicals are still around,� Scavenger suggested as he started in one corner. ////////// Red Alert and Hotshot drove what seemed like hours but it was only minutes. |
