Warrior Maidens
Page non printable
Willa
Willa is the queen/leader of the Warrior Maidens and the eldest sister to Nayda. Just like the other women, she is skilled with the bow and arrow. She knows how to navigate the woods. The first Thundercat she meets is Lion-O and her first treatment to him was hostile, but later learned he wasn't the enemy. She even helps the Thundercats when they are in trouble. She knows many things about Third Earth, especially things near The Tree-Top Kingdom, which is her domain and home of the Warrior Maidens. She is an excellent fighter and a wise ruler. She also very crafty, strong, and agile.
Nayda
Nayda is Willa's younger sister. She first encounters the Mutant, Monkian. He had tried to kidnap her for a servent for Castle Plun-Darr. But that was short lived when Willa came to the rescue and Monkian ran away. She is also a skilled archer and knows much about Third Earth. She is a very good fighter, strong, and agile, too, but not as much her sister. If Willa is in danger and the Thundercats do what they can to help, Nayda will insist to help as well. She even once became invisible with Tygra through his whip but with the two of them, they were almost permently invisible but thanks to the Lion-O, they were released from the invisibilty.
The Warriors
Not often are the Warrior Maidens are shown, when they are, they show that they don't take things lying down. They will work as hard as any working man. They will also defend their kingdom, even when they know there's no hope. They wear skimpy outfits that look like from Tarzan. Some where two pieces while others where one piece. Their clothes are also in different shades of the forest. The one question that keeps poping in my head is how did they become warriors, they have to have a mother and father somewhere. So the answer to that question is I gave them a background. The tribe is made out of girls born in the tribe and orphans. But men don't live with them. When a Maiden wants to reproduce, she hunts for a potential father. If she borns a son, the son is given to the father, if a daughter is born, she stays with the mother and is taught to be a Warrior Maiden. All Maidens, to date, are human.

Fransine
Fransine was once a push over warrior. When Willa was appointed queen, she tried to create a rebellion but failed. The former queen was still living amongst the warriors and when she learned of Fransine's rebellion, she was about to banish the woman. Willa came to the aid by handing out a challenge. If Fransine was able to beat Willa in a fair hand to hand combat, Willa would step down as the new queen. Fransine was beaten by Willa and from that day on Fransine swore her loyality to the new queen. Fransine has good skill with the bow, she taught Willa how to fight. She is one of the few who was born into the tribe.

She has skills with the bow but if she is caught without her bow, she will use anything she can get her hands on to make a makeshift weapon. She will even risk her life to protect the Thundercats from harm, though it isn't part of oath to the Warrior Maidens but it isn't agianst either. She is one of the only maidens to admire Cheetara's gift of speed, while others think Cheetara is a showoff. Fiona is also not that much older than Meg, but her skills make her look older.

Mara
Mara is one security guards. With good fighting skills, Willa appointed Mara to security by Willa when Willa was crowned queen. Mara is not much for talking, she prefers body language to speak for her. For a long time, she was mute until the Thundercats arrived. Mara mostly sticks around the main part of the kingdom but if she is called for mission, she will not hestitate. Mara, unlike most of the maidens, hopes that one day she will be the first to have a non human offspring and secretly wishes it to be with one of the Thundercats. The one person she hates is her father. Her father, after learning he produced a child, came looking for the mother, wanting the demands that his daughter lives with him.

Auni and Fransine are always at odds with each other but when it comes to team work, the two will work side by side, without questions asked. Auni is also one of the trainers who trains the young warriors. During an attack by the Lunatacs, Auni was injured and lost for she became blind. Jade and Simone are another sister class. But they are only half sisters. Jade is the older of the two. When Jade was still an infant, her father went searching for the Warrior Maidens. At the time, Jade's mother was one of the queen's bodyguards. When he met the queen, he revealed a bundle of furs. Within the furs, was a new born child, Simone. He quickly told them that Simone's mother was just killed and someone was after him. He asked the queen to take his new born daughter and raise her as a warrior. The queen granted his request. The father handed the new born to Jade's mother, silently telling her to raise her as if she were her own daughter. Within hours after leaving the Tree Top Kingdom, he was found dead by another maiden. Both Jade and Simone know of their father's heroisim. The two have well known skills with the bow and other man made weapons.

Meg
Meg was trained under Fransine and other warriors. It was just before her 18th birthday when Willa became queen of the Tree Top Kingdom. Meg is another orphan child who was found by the previous queen. When she was found, she was in a space pod, surrounded by objects from her home. Some of the objects were books on martial arts. The queen studied the books and learned her parents were fighters. Being sure that Meg stayed with her family traditions, the queen made sure Meg had the martial arts skills. She is good with the bow. But her best talents lie in her martial arts. Upon meeting the Thundercats, Panthro learned she had karate skills so he decided to teach her some of his own techniques. Through the Thundercats she was able to find out what happened to her parents.
