Hey everyone! What's up? I'm Juli co-creator of La Dolce Gilda. I'm 16, and from Salt Lake City, Utah. Some things I like... Saturday Night Live (like you didn't see that coming) and comedy in general. As dumb as this sounds, making people laugh is also one of my passions. When I'm having an un-funny day I don't want to leave the house. It's like having bad hair day for a normal girl. It stops me.
I adore so many different types of comedy and so many different comics that it'd be impossible to list all of them, but I'd say without a doubt that my favorite comedians are Horatio Sanz, Gilda Radner and Rachel Dratch. All three of those comics put so much of themselves into their performance that you feel like you know them. There was this really great quote in Rolling Stone a while back that describes perfectly how I feel about them, it went something like this, "It (SNL) creates the kind of excitement it did in the early days, back when watching it was a dorm-room ritual that made you feel like you were receiving a secret transmission from the coolest people on the planet." ahh it still gives me shivers.....
My favorite band is Weezer. Everything about that band is just the best. Rivers, Brian, Pat and Mikey inspire me unlike any comedian could ever do. They just hit a different chord in my body. Mikey Welsh is my fave =w= man, he has that mysterious quality to him that I find oh so sexy. They even inspired me to learn the guitar, but like so many other things I quit that. I still strum around, but mainly I just tell guys I play to make me sound cooler. hee hee....
I think that is the end of me.... yes I only have two hobbies. SNL and Weezer. Everything else fits under those two. If you have any other question email and I'll fill you in with the depths of my soul-
