District Grand Lecturer

Hello Brothers, I have served as your District Grand Lecturer since 2002 and again I have to say that I feel proud to serve you as your District Lecturer. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your vote of confidence and the respect that you have shown me through the years, as I visit the various Lodges throughout the state. I hope that I have not offended anyone, while instructing the rituals or floor work. I am there to help you perform your duties in the Lodge. Please take my comments as constructive and not destructive. Remember, if you need help in your Lodge, please allow me to perform my duties. Call on me anytime and I will gladly try to help anyway I can. Fraternally yours, Armando "Skip" Perez, DGL 18th Ideal Lodge No. 367 F. & A.M. Hammond, LA 70403 |

Sunday, October 11, 2009 Hiram Lodge No. 70 will host the THIRD Annual 18th Masonic District Picnic at Pontiff Playground in Metairie.
Feedback about last year's picnic: I thought that the Second Annual 18th Masonic District Picnic was a huge success! Hiram Lodge members were there first thing in the morning and set up the pavilion and began setting up for the day's events. Invincible Lodge No. 361 had their barbeque trailer in full operation! The trailer came complete with two or more cooks who were members of Invincible Lodge to do the cooking!
These Brothers began cooking chicken, smoke sauces, steaks and ribs! However Hiram Lodge held their own, with a LARGE pot of Jambalaya, (which was GREAT), a deep fryer, (fried fish was excellent) and all the other trimmings to go with the picnic! OUTSTANDING BROTHERS!!!
This annual Picnic will grow and the District Members will be closer and the Craft better for it. I want to thank all the Brothers that attended the picnic and hope that next year it will grow to double this year's size. Once the other members of the District hear about the success, they will come. Skip Perez, DGL Ideal Lodge No. 367

The Fraternity of Freemasonry is the oldest, largest, and most widely known Fraternity in the world. Originating hundreds of years ago when stonemasons and other craftsmen gathered together in Lodges. Masonry now involves members bound together not by trade, but by a desire to be a Fraternal Brotherhood built upon Honesty, Integrity and Morality with Charity as its chief aim. The basic unit of Masonry is the Blue Lodge. After progressing through "three degrees" to become a Master Mason, members can belong to other organizations, which have roots in Masonry and the Blue Lodge as a prerequisite. Among these related organizations include the Shrine of North America, The Scottish Rite Bodies, The York Rite Bodies and many others. For more information or to become a Master Mason, contact Skip Perez @ [email protected] Louisiana Grand Lodge Web Site www.la-mason.com |
