Okay, this is this the first time I’ve actually been able to sit down and write something due to… recent events. I know it’s been a while, and I deeply apoligize. I don’t know if you’ve heard or not, I got scratched down by this woman who called herself Lady Shiva. It happened when Tim, Dick, and I went to go take that photo for Bruce’s birthday... you know, at the end of last month? I guess she was trying to get to Bruce and used ME as her pawn. What fun, eh? Well, anyway, she did a LOT of damage and that’s the major reason why I haven’t been around too much. What KIND of damage—? Well.. le’s see. She gave me a broken wrist (compound fracture), stabbed me three times (once on my chest, near my left shoulder, another time near my right shoulder, and the third into my abdomen), sprained my ankle, a deep three inch cut on the left side of my cheek, and sliced my right arm, which required eight stitches to shut completely.

Now don’t get me wrong, I probably could have fought her off enough so I could have one less injury, but.. seeing as I gotten out of the hospital the morning before from surgery being done on my side, I was still pretty weak. Yeah, yeah.. I hear you. “No excuses.” I’m sorry. Really… I tried to fight her, and I DID!! But I guess I wasn’t focused enough. Hmm.. Bruce Was right, I DO need more training. As soon as I can walk straight again, I think I’ll start… again.

Speaking of which, did I tell you about Cassandra?? No?? Oh! Then I guess I have to, huh? She’s pretty much the NEW Batgirl. She just showed up one day, Dick was telling me about her—how she saved his life and how skilled she was. She also stayed with both me and Wally while we were in the hospital. She.. stood guard for us, to make sure nothing went wrong (Dick’s idea, mind you) while we where there. At one point when Dick was there and Cass was too, I realized that there was no way I could continue being… you-know-who while I was in such a weakened condition. Cass was a GOOD girl, I could just TELL—so I asked her to take over for me, at least until I got better. She agreed, and so id Dick. I didn’t tell Bruce, but now he knows and has… pretty much approved as well—which is another AMAZING thing.

So Cassandra has been running around, watching over my section of Gotham each night,

while I sit here and.. blaaah.. recover from these injuries. It’s not fun, but I’m keeping myself busy. Oh.. and I GOT the apartment!! YES, the one on the very TOP floor of the Clock Tower! Papers go in and I move in by the twelfth of December. Bruce made sure that the papers went in and now everything is pretty much taken care of. I’m packing my chinaware and collectables right now while I’m typing this out... THAT and talking to Kara.

Something major happened to Wally, but he’s not really talking too much about it. But I do know his friend, my friend… our NURSE Evelyn was hurt VERY, very badly and her son James was killed a while ago. Wally’s been crushed, been hurting so bad since that happened. He.. REALLY hasn’t been himself lately. According to what Roy’s told me he’s not his normal hyper, happy, flirting self. I’m worried. He hasn’t even been NEAR me but for one night since all of this has happened. Maybe he’s ashamed of me? Maybe he… doesn’t love me like I thought? Or perhaps he’s found some other girl, and is more interested in her instead of me. Though, at this point I guess I could understand. I’m not all that happy with me either.

I finished packing my china and.. my….hero related memorabilia. I just now realized HOW much stuff I actually have. I’ve got more FLASH stuff than anything... hmm, wonder why. Teehee. I’ve got this one statue of Batgirl and Supergirl, I JUST ordered it and.. WOW. It’s gorgeous. I wanna show Kara, but NOT until I get my new place in order. I’ve.. got a special place for where I’m going to place that. I just want to somewhat…surprise her, ya know? Half the apartment is filled with boxes now. I need a break. I think I’m going to go for the mail—it hasn’t been checked in about a week, so I guess I should do it. I’ll see if Dick’ll let me go get it, get some fresh air. –Okay—just let Kara know.   But I MUST get the fudge out of the oven first or else it’ll burn… I’ll be back to finish this up.
