Written in 1995 while living at Mills Home and published in 1997 in the National Anthology of Poetry...
Sleeping, I lie in my bed at night
Constant worry in my mind...
No hope, no love
No faith left at all
Stolen in the forward fall of birth.
Pushed to the edge of a restless world,
No longer accepted by society's goals,
Dreams invade my dreamless world
With a constantly fading glimmer of light
Swallowed by night
Can I wake?
