Hello!  Welcome to my little corner of the Web!  There are oodles of clickable links embedded in the text and illustrations.  Some of these and others are featured on the illustrated links page.   The music on this page is "Vogue."

My style?  I'm all about untucked shirts and snow-white
Adidas sneakers.  Don't forget cologne  -  Burberry Weekend or Eau Sauvage! I'm a vegetarian.   A proud Liberal, I yet feel a lump in the throat when Carly Simon sings "Let the River Run."   I'm a Christian, and I am the face of gay America.

In a relationship with just the greatest guy,
Joel, I'm the most fortunate soul in the world, really.  Born and raised along the Houston Ship Channel and with both parents now passed, I'm cobbling together a rich life - they would have it no other way.  I hold a BA from the University of Houston, where my major subject was journalism and my minor was English. - and where I learned more from the peerless ethnic, social, and economic diversity than from any course book.

I've auditioned for
Edward Albee and shaken hands with Minister Jesse Jackson, kissed the seal on the rotunda floor in Austin and monitored an AP ticker when the space shuttle Challenger exploded on my first morning at the college newspaper. Friends say I'm freaky but nave, funny yet earnest.  I say I'm supremely human.  How great is that!

I'm good with languages.  I've never tried tobacco or drugs.  I rarely drink  and don't gamble.  I sorely miss the eclectic, MOR format of the former KQUE-FM.  I listen to everything from Broadway to Motown, Carole King and Joni Mitchell to Hip-Hop, Olivia Newton-John to Cher, Madonna to Roberta Flack, Punk to Jazz to Classical.  Beethoven and Sinatra are just the best!  Newer to me are Sigur Rs, the Dresden Dolls, Dream Theater, Glass Hammer, and Marillion. I appreciate everything from VANITY FAIR to National Public Radio to THE ATLANTIC MONTHLY, Molly Ivins to Camille Paglia to Jacques Barzun. Michael Rapaport gets my nod as sexiest celebrity  -  by far!  The world's cultures, such as those of the Nordic countries for example, hold me in their thrall.  The works of Will McBride, Larry Clark, Bruce Weber, and Michael Meads resonate wth  me.  I love soccer -  especially the Monterrey Rayados, Real Madrid, and Arsenal.
