| dcTalk, Tool (though I don't like many of their lyrics), Alien Ant Farm, Everclear, Staind, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blink 182, P.O.D., Meters, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Doors, Thelonious Monk, Curtis Salgado, 16 Second Hum Musical Influences: Gene Krupa (that guy had style!), Travis Barker (I want to be him), Carter Beauford (wow), Ringo Starr, Mike Cosgrove (awesome grooves and snare fills), Chad Smith, Alex Casebeer (dang, he's probably better than any other young drummer I've ever seen, even Alan B. Alan), Virgil Donati (talk about FAST), Reinhardt Melz, Jeremy Wright, Brad Hirsch (he taught be almost everything I know), Zoro (major groove-master), Wuv (he's into a lot of stuff, like me, and it really shows in his drumming), Jose Pasillas II (funkiest rock drummer out there) Favorite Food: Pepperoni pizza, Mongolian beef, lasagna, apples and cinnamon oatmeal (straight from the packet into the mouth; water takes too long), and my mommy's apple pie (with vanilla ice cream) Favorite Color: Dusk blue or forrest green Favorite Car: I'd have to say a sliver BMW Z3 (Lisa Andersen got me hooked on that car in 7th grade) or Z8. I like the real Land Rovers, like they use on safaris, not the yuppie SUV type. Favorite Movie: Meet Joe Black was weird but good. I like James Bond movies and pretty much anything else with explosions and/or comedy that's not really scary or chick-flickish. The Modern Drummer Festival videos are all pretty awesome, too. Personal Goals: I want to always stay close to God. I'm going to go to a good school in California and major in pre-medicine and music with a minor in Spanish. My ultimate dream is to become a drummer -- in the studio, clubs, or on tour -- but if I don't then I'm going to med school. I want to get sponsored as a drummer. And I'm going to marry the second most wonderful woman in the world, since I can't marry the first, who just happens to be my mom. I'm also going to grow up to be a combination of Ringo Starr and the male version of Audrey Hepburn, because then I would be the coolest person in the world, and everyone would love me. Oh yeah, and I'm going to try to stop being so cute so Warren'll stop making fun of me. |
