Lachlan & Andrew at Perisher Blue 2001

This ice sculpture appeared late in the week.

It was off to the snow during the last week of school holidays, July 2001. Snow was a bit heavy on Sunday, with snowfall on Monday and Tuesday, then great conditions for Wednesday to Friday.

George was created near Freelander Quad midstation on Sunday afternoon

Lift cues were always large, except for Wentworth T-Bar

The drive in on Tuesday

The drive out on Tuesday

Conditions were a bit miserable on Tuesday

Andrew points out the icicles that formed on our car during the day. They formed on us also!

Wednesday morning and George was windblown but still hanging in there, hair in place.

Near George

Accomodation at the Station was warm, as were most of the fights

The boys enjoyed their stay, including the tucker, but maybe not the queues to get to the tucker

Andrew climbing the big rock near the quad midstation

Nearing the top

On top - all to get an advantage in the snowball fights

Lachlan continues his love affair with water, at the Pub

On the Pretty Valley double, which was a popular run, but became a little well worn in the middle

On the traverse from Blue Cow to Guthega

Dad's lesson group at Freelander Quad top station, Friday

Andrew Says:

The best thing was skiing, and the funnest thing was when Dad rolled George's head down the slope and it hit the skiing instructor. The worst thing was the snow getting in my gloves.

Lachlan Says:

I liked the Station Resort, and I had fun skiing, and the snowball fights, except the snow kept getting in my gloves and boots. The best thing was skiing. The worst thing was the run down from the top of the Interceptor Quad chair.
