Prologue
Jessica�s POV
I was already 2 minutes late, I had to get to the babysitter�s house so I could pick Emma up, mom dropped her off this morning and I told her I�d be able to pick her up after I got out of school. I stopped by the mall with a bunch of friends to pick some food up from the food court. I was in line getting my food and when I finally got it I quickly went over to the table my friends were all sitting at, before I could reach the table someone walked right into me and my bag of food fell sending my French fries everywhere. I looked up at the hand reaching out to me and saw the bluest eyes I�d ever seen before, he was so handsome. I accepted his hand and he helped me up, from then on our love blossomed and the rest is history.
Nick�s POV
I�d finally finished the in-store promo I was doing for my sophomore album that was being released in 3 weeks. I was starving, I hadn�t eaten since dinner the night before and here it is�4pm now! I raced on up to the food court taking the chance of being mobbed by teenage girls. I was too busy focusing on making it to the food court safely that I didn�t notice the young blonde in front of me and I stormed right into her. I looked down and saw her fries and bag of food on the floor. I couldn�t help but notice how beautiful she was too. I extended my hand out to her and she looked at me for a second with beautiful hazel brown eyes. I smiled apologetically and she held my hand, I raised her to her feet and our story after that is complete romance and love.
And Nick Makes 3�
Jessica�s POV
�Here�let me help you.� He lifted me up and then bent down to pick my food up and he threw it out. �Come on, I�ll buy you more. I�m really sorry about that. I should�ve watched where I was going.� I was drawn to him, he was gorgeous. I hit myself for even thinking that. Here I am 17 a Junior in High school and with the past I�ve got not to mention my �baggage� he would never look at me. We walked back over to the food stand and he ordered himself something and I ordered the same thing I just ordered before.
�Thank you�� I said to him while we were walking away after getting our food.
�No, don�t mention it; I�m sorry I knocked you over.� I laughed a little.
�It�s okay.� He stopped at a table and put his stuff down.
�Would you like to sit with me?� I looked at him and over at my friends.
�Um�one second okay?� He nodded and I put my food down and ran to them.
�Jess who�s that hot guy over there?� My friend Cacee spoke first.
�Um�just some guy I met. I�m gonna go eat with him.� They all looked at me and told me they�d see me in school tomorrow. I ran back to the table and sat next to him. �Sorry, I just had to say bye to my friends.� He looked up and nodded his head.
�Was I interrupting?�
�No, no�they�re heading out soon anyways.�
�Oh okay�by the way I�m Nick Lachey.� I looked up and then the light bulb went off. I KNEW I had seen him somewhere and as soon as he said his name I figured out who he was. I turned to him.
�Are you *the* Nick Lachey?� He laughed and nodded his head. I�d never really listened to him but did enjoy his music.
�That would be me. You�re not some crazy lunatic fan are you?� I laughed.
�No, I�ve heard of you and I enjoy your music but I never really have time to listen to music and do the cool teenage stuff.�
�Oh�how come?� I looked down and picked at my fries.
�Eh�you know. This and that�it keeps me busy.� He nodded and ate more of his hamburger. �Oh�I�m Jessica.� I forgot to introduce myself. �Simpson�Jessica Simpson.� He smiled and reached his hand out to shake mine.
�Nice to meet you Jessica Simpson.� I giggled at him. We ate the rest of our meals and then both got up to leave. I really didn�t want to go and be away from him but I had to.
Nick�s POV
I couldn�t believe I bumped into her. She was beautiful. She had long blonde hair and beautiful brown eyes. She wasn�t very tall and looking at her voluptuous body and curvy figure I definitely would have guessed her to be older then a high school student. Her voice was so gentle and quiet. And her smile lit up a room and that�s what attracted her to me to most, her smile and bubbly personality. I wanted to take her out but she was in high school so she probably didn�t want to be around me�that and the fact she probably already had a boyfriend. I threw her garbage out for her and asked if I could walk her to her car. She nodded and I tried reaching for her hand, she didn�t mind�at least she didn�t seem to mind. She stopped in front of her car and stood by the door. I looked at her and then looked down.
�So�do you think maybe, I dunno�I could take you out for a real meal?� She laughed and that made my eyes light up�her smile and her laugh, it made anyone smile�it had to.
�Nick�you don�t� want to be involved with someone like me.� I was confused.
�What do you mean?� I stepped closer.
�I mean�look it was nice of you to treat me to food today but I�m not a girl you want to be with. I�m in high school, I�m 17 for one thing�you�re�you�re��
�22�� I chimed in and helped her.
�22�plus you�re famous and rich and handsome and�and I have a ba�� I stopped her and leaned forward and just kissed her�I just did it. I didn�t think I just kissed her and I felt her wrap her arms around my neck. She finally pulled away and smiled at me.
�So�what do ya say about dinner tonight? A REAL dinner?� She nodded and wrote her number down for me.
�Okay�I can�t be out long it�s a school night.�
�Its okay�just dinner.�
�Okay�I�ll see you tonight then.� I nodded and smiled. I kissed her cheek and made sure she got out okay before walking to my car trying to go unnoticed. I got in and pulled out of the parking lot with no problems.
Jessica�s POV
I looked at the clock.
�Shit�now I�m 20 minutes late.� I sped over to the babysitter�s house. Nina�she was the sweetest woman ever; she watched Emma everyday and was always there when we needed a last minute sitter. I pulled into her driveway and went up to the door and walked in. �Hey Nina�I�m so sorry I�m late.� She came out smiling.
�Oh sweetie, you know I�m always around, but your mother picked Emma up about 5 minutes ago.� I cursed under my breath.
�Okay, thanks again Nina, I�ll see you tomorrow!� I ran out the door and back into my car. I drove to my house and saw mama�s car in the driveway. I knew she was going to kill me. I grabbed my backpack and purse and ran in the house. I heard mama talking to Emma and I followed her voice into the family room. She looked up at me as soon as I walked in.
�Jessica! Where in the hell have you been?� She was definitely pissed.
�I�m so sorry mama�� She handed Emma over to me.
�She�s YOUR responsibility Jessica! Not mine! She�s YOUR daughter. You need to be here when you�re supposed to be.� I took Emma and kissed her head.
�Mama I know, and I�m so sorry. I�m going to go feed her supper and then put her down for the night, can you watch her for a couple hours. I have a date.� She rolled her eyes at me. My mama was my best friend but she was pissed at me right now.
�Of course�when can I ever say no to you Jessica?� I smiled and kissed my mama.
�Love you mama!� I went in the kitchen with Emma. I got her a bottle, she�s 7 months old, and she looks exactly like me. My parents, my mama especially have been helping me from day one. I�d slept with the guy once, found out I was pregnant and as soon as he found out he ran. So my family has been very supportive, I grew up in a very Christian home, and they would never turn their back on me. I fed Emma and then brought her upstairs and put her to bed.
�I love you princess.� I kissed her little forehead and watched her close her eyes. I smiled and quietly walked out. I went into my room right next to hers and got myself ready for my date. I wore a jean mini skirt, a white halter and a nice white shawl. I slipped on a pair of my wedge sandals and went to work on my hair and make up when the phone rang.
�Jess�it�s for you!� I heard my mama yell. I looked at the clock and saw the time; 6:02. I ran into my room and picked up my phone. It was Nick�he told me he�d be there in 20 minutes to take me to dinner. I finished with my make up and hair and grabbed my purse. I checked on Emma once more before heading down the stairs at the same time as the doorbell rang. I was halfway down the stairs when I saw Ashlee opening the door. I sighed. �oh no� I thought.
�Oh my gosh! Do you know who you are?� She was screaming and mama had walked in by now. �You�re Nick Lachey�THE Nick Lachey!� She was squealing and my mama jumped in.
�Ashlee go get your sister.�
�I�m here.� I walked down and Nick smiled at me. I walked over to him and he handed me flowers.
�Thank you Nick.� I kissed his cheek. My mama took the flowers for me.
�Have her back before 11. It is a school night after all.� Nick nodded.
�I will.�
�Have fun you two.� Nick and I walked out to his car�he was driving a silver BMW�holy shit I thought to myself. He opened the door for me and I got in. He drove us to the Ivy and I couldn�t believe all the celebrities that were there. We had our own private table and it was in candlelight. He held my hand the entire dinner and I don�t think I�d ever laughed as much as I did tonight. The night was perfect and a bit overwhelming; I mean he was a celebrity. After dinner he drove me to the beach and he and I walked around for a bit holding hands and laughing. The whole time all I could think about was when or if I should tell him about Emma. I mean I didn�t know if he wanted to see me again. Finally at 10 of 11 he drove me home and walked me to my door. He stood there and leaned down for a kiss. I wrapped my arms around him like earlier that day and pulled away.
�Thanks for tonight, I had a great time.� I smiled and kissed him again.
�Me too�I�ll call you tomorrow when you get home from school?� I nodded.
�Okay�call me about 3 or a little after.
�Okay, I will.�
�Night Jess.� I kissed him one more time and walked into the house�11pm on the dot!

And Nick Makes 3�
Jessica�s POV
I walked in the door and mama was in the living room with daddy watching the TV. They were just waiting for me to get in. Daddy kissed me goodnight and then went upstairs knowing mama and I wanted to be alone so I could tell her all about my date, like I always did.
�So�how was it?� She was grinning at me. I smiled and sat next to her.
�Mama it was the best date I�ve ever been on.�
�Could it be the fact he�s a celebrity AND 22?� I looked down, I was waiting for that to come out.
�Come on mama�that doesn�t matter. And 22�he�s only 5 years older then me.�
�Jessica�just be careful, we�ve got one Emma already.� I rolled my eyes.
�Mama, that was ONCE�I did it once.�
�Yeah and look what happened just ONCE!� I sighed.
�I really like Nick mama.� We were quiet.
�Well�did you tell him about Emma?� I stayed quiet and then shook my head.
�Not yet�no.�
�Do you plan on it? Jessica you cannot keep it a secret long, he�s going to need to know if y�all are seeing each other.� I looked up.
�I know mama but I didn�t think it would be right to flat out say �oh by the way I�m 17 and have a 7 month old baby girl.�
�I�m just saying��
�Well thanks for saying it, I need to get ready for bed I have school in the morning.� I kissed her goodnight and went upstairs. I checked on Emma and then went to my own room. She got me up twice in the night, she was getting much better with sleeping through the night. I woke up the next morning; dropped Emma off at Nina�s and then headed for my classes. I wouldn�t keep my mind off Nick all day.
~* 3 Weeks Later *~
Nick�s POV
I walked up to the Simpson�s doorstep and rang the doorbell. Tonight was me and Jessica�s 4th date; I was taking her to my place for a nice dinner. The past few dates have been the best ever. I�ve never had as much fun just talking with someone as I do with Jessica. It�s hard to believe she�s only in high school. She is very mature for her age. Since our first date we�ve talked every night on the phone before bed and I try and call her before school but can�t always. I met her mother and father, I only met her father briefly, but her mother is a very sweet lady�Joe I think will take some warming up to. My album was being released in 3 days and Jessica said she�d be my date, she was a little nervous about having to be in public and the media�s eye but I assured her it would be okay. The front door finally opened and Tina was there to greet me.
�Hey Nicholas�come on in. Jess is in the living room if you want to go get her, I have to finish up dinner before Joe gets home.� I nodded and smiled.
�Thanks Mrs. Simpson.�
�Nicholas�none of that Mrs. Simpson, it makes me feel old. Call me Tina.� I laughed.
�Thanks Tina�� I walked in and walked down the hall to the living room where I could hear Jess talking, I thought she was talking to Ashlee at first but she was talking with a baby voice.
�Emma�Emma�don�t pull mama�s hair. Come on be nice princess.� I watched from the doorway and saw Jessica holding the cutest baby girl I�d ever seen. She was dressed in a light pink dress and had little black Mary-Jane shoes on with a pink headband matching her dress. The little girl had little diamond studs in each ear; she had light blonde/brown hair and beautiful blue eyes. I stood there quietly. The baby was laughing. �Mama has to go; she�s got a date with Nick again.� Jess and the baby were smiling. �I love you�mama loves you so much.� She spoke in her baby voice to her daughter. She put the baby in her playpen and turned around which is when I realized she�d seen me. She looked down and I walked over to her, I reached my hand out and lifted her chin to meet my eyes. I didn�t question anything I just reached for her hand and walked out.
�Bye you two�I�ll see you tomorrow because I�m probably going to be in bed before y�all get home since it�s not a school night.� Jessica nodded and we both said goodbye to her mom. The car ride to my house was complete silence. I had no idea what I was supposed to say, it was awkward. I got out when we got to my house and opened her door for her. I held her hand and walked us up to my front doorstep.
Jessica�s POV
It had to be the most awkward 20 minutes of my life on our way to his house. I was going to tell him but I didn�t want him finding out this way. We pulled into his driveway and I couldn�t believe that was his house. I was in awe of it. He walked me up to his door and led me inside. I couldn�t believe someone lived in a home this big�alone! He brought me into the dining room where there was a candlelit dinner already set for us. Without saying anything he pulled my chair out and I sat down, he sat across from me. We ate in silence for about 10 minutes before I couldn�t� take it anymore.
�She�s 7 months�� I spoke out of nowhere. He looked at me. I put my fork down. �My�my�my daughter, she�s uh�she�s 7 months.� He nodded and picked at his food. �Emma�that�s her name.�
�Beautiful name.� He smiled. �She�s a beautiful baby too.� He didn�t have any emotion to his voice; he was just kind of saying it.
�Thank you�it�s not what you think.� He placed his fork on the plate loudly.
�And how do you know what I think Jessica?� He leaned back in his chair.
�I don�t�I�m just saying�I didn�t sleep with a bunch of guys Nick�it was one guy, the only guy I�ve ever been with and we only had sex once. As soon as he found out I was pregnant he left and I haven�t spoken to him since. My parent�s have been helping me so I can finish school. I�m not the kind of girl that sleeps with everyone Nick, you have to believe me. It was a mistake what I did but to say Emma is a mistake would be a lie because I love her more then anything.� I was quiet and had a few tears in my eyes. �She�s my baby, she�s my little princess.�
�Why the hell didn�t you tell me? We�ve been talking to each other more then a month almost and you said NOTHING.� He stood up and was yelling. �You said nothing Jessica! A baby is something big, something someone you are dating should kinda maybe know about!� I had tears in my eyes.
�I know, and I wanted to tell you, but I didn�t want to scare you and just come out and say I had a baby.� He glared at me. He took his plate and mine and brought them in the kitchen. He left them on the counter not even bothering to empty them.
�Come on�I�m taking you home.� I looked up.
�Wha��� He took my hand and pulled me up. He led me to the front door.
�Tonight�the mood isn�t here and I need to�I just need space.� He led me to his car and drove me home, I cried and made sniffle noises now and then but that was all the noise in the car. He stopped and didn�t even get out of the car. �Hey�the album release party this week�� I looked at him and nodded, he was excited I�d finally agreed to go. �Forget it�you�ve got other obligations to care for and well�I can go solo. It�ll be fine. Thanks anyways.� Alls I did was nod my head, it�s all I could do. More tears threatened to fall but I didn�t let them not until I got out of the car. I walked to my front door without a goodbye from Nick and I walked in. I heard his car pull out after I had made it inside safely, so that meant he cared a little right? I mean he waited for me to get inside�I walked inside and both mama and daddy were in the kitchen. Daddy saw my tears and excused himself from the room. My mama put the dishtowel down and sat me in the chair, she kneeled down next to me.
�Baby, what happened?� I cried into her shoulder.
�He found out about Emma.�
�Oh�you told him and he didn�t like that?� I shook my head.
�No, he saw me with her tonight and I never got the chance to tell him. He�s so mad at me. He doesn�t want me there for his album release.� My mama kissed my head.
�Its okay baby�if he can�t be with you because you have a beautiful baby girl then he wasn�t worth it Jess.� I nodded my head.
�I know, but I thought he was different then the other guys mama. I thought he was different.� She wiped my tears and sent me upstairs. Alls I wanted to do was go to bed which is what I did. I cried myself to sleep.

And Nick Makes 3� Part 3
Jessica�s POV
It had been 4 days since I�d heard anything from Nick. His release was last night, I was thinking about him the entire night. Right now I was sitting at the table feeding Emma and watching TV. My eyes were so red and swollen from crying so much. I didn�t think Nick would effect me this much but he did�I cared about him a lot. I looked at the TV, Access Hollywood was on and I would�ve switched the channel but I saw Nick on the screen. They were talking about his album sales�they were amazing. His album was expected to reach the 500,000 sale point within the first week of release. I finished feeding Emma and smiled at the screen. He might be mad at me but I was still happy and proud of him. Emma must�ve been too because I saw her smiling and making happy baby noises at the TV. I looked over at her and thought about how precious she was to me when my thoughts were interrupted by the ringing telephone.
Nick�s POV
I finally had the courage to pick the phone up and call her today. It was the day after my album release. I was more then happy about the sales reports but the one thing that was missing to make me happier was Jessica. So what she had a baby? Shouldn�t that make me want to be with her more? So I can love her and her baby�so I can help them both. I care about her so I should be able to care about her baby right? I dialed her number and heard the ringing. Finally I heard her angelic voice on the other line.
�Hello�� I was quiet for a moment.
�Hey�its me�Nick.�
�Yeah, I know who you are Nick.� I laughed nervously.
�Right�sorry.� More silence. �So�how�s Emma?� She was quiet this time.
�Why do you care?� I sighed.
�Jess�I do care. I�m sorry I acted like a jerk. I was taken by surprise. I do NOT think ANY less of you, I think you�re even stronger for being able to take care of a baby and keep up with school.�
�You really think that?�
�Yeah�I�m sure you�re a great mom.�
�I try to be.� I could hear her smile through the phone.
�So anyways�back to my question. How is she?�
�Well�I think she�s getting a little congested. Maybe a little cold. But she�s good. She�s a Nick Lachey fan.� We both laughed.
�She is is she?�
�Yeah, she saw you on the TV today and was smiling and making these cute baby noises at your picture.� I laughed again. I had to see Jessica. I missed her so much.
�Well, why don�t you and Emma come over tonight? Maybe we could just spend the day hanging around my house?� I was nervous she wouldn�t want to see me again.
�Umm�I�d like that.�
�I�ll pick you up in 10 minutes?�
�Okay, bye Nick.� I smiled.
�Bye Jessica.� I left and drove to Jess� house. I knocked on the door and she answered. I leaned down and kissed her. She let me in and walked me into the living room. Emma was in her carrier and all set to go. She really was a cute baby. I smiled and Jessica grabbed a bag with Emma�s toys.
�Ready Jess�?� She nodded.
�Do you want to take her or you still nervous?� I laughed.
�I can do it.� I reached down and lifted her carrier and walked her to my car. Jessica made sure she was buckled in and then got in the front. She was talking about Emma the whole time to me and I enjoyed it. We got to my house and brought her inside. We set her toys down.
�I didn�t know if you wanted to go to the little park near here or just hang out here.�
�That sounds nice�� I smiled. We left most of her toys here. Jessica had put Emma�s stroller in the back of my car so we got that out and buckled her in. Jessica looked at me. �Well�would you like to push or me?�
�I�ll try�� I pushed her down my driveway and we walked to the park, it wasn�t far at all. When we got there she got restless and Jessica told me to stop.
�I think she wants to be held for a bit�� I looked down at the crying baby. I didn�t say anything I just picked her up�VERY nervously and held her�.now what do I do?
�Just rock her a little bit�try to sooth her.� Jessica reached over to me but I pulled back.
�I got it�I got it.� I gently rocked her and she continued to cry.
�Come bring her over here Nick.� Jessica walked over to the swing. �Sit.� She pointed to one of the swings and I rolled my eyes. I couldn�t believe I was doing this. I sat on the swing and held Emma in my arms. Jessica started to push us gently. Emma finally calmed down and was quiet. I looked down and saw her sleeping against my chest. I smiled and Jessica came in front of me. �See, you�re a natural Nick.� I laughed.
�I�m no so sure about that one.� I got up and we put Emma back in her stroller. I kept looking down at her. She was adorable. Jess and I walked over to the bench and I kept the stroller by my side. I reached for Jess� hand and held it. She gave it a little squeeze and I smiled, I knew she wasn�t angry with me anymore. �Look�I�m sorry about how I acted before.� She looked at me.
�Its okay, I mean I did keep a big secret from you.�
�Yeah but I care about you and I should�ve been supportive and I just yelled at you. So�I�m sorry.� She leaned over and kissed me. I kissed her back and then pulled away.
�Apology accepted.� I laughed and kissed her again.
�I want to be there for both of you. Whatever you need, I want to be there okay?� She nodded and leaned her head against my shoulder. I looked at her and down at the sleeping baby and couldn�t believe the resemblance in the two. They looked so much like each other. We stayed there for a while and then took Emma back to my house. When we got there it was a little after 4 and she was hungry. Jessica handed me the bottle and I looked at her frightened. �I um�I dunno what to do.� She laughed at me and sat me at the dining room table. I held Emma in my arms and Jessica showed me how to feed her. Once I got the hang of it, it was pretty easy. I finished feeding her and then we brought her into the living room and played with her toys. She was starting to crawl all over the place and Jess had to chase after her. At 8 Jessica put her in her carrier.
�I have to bring her home and get her to bed.� I nodded knowing she had to leave. I grabbed my keys and picked the carrier up. I buckled her in the back and opened Jess� door for her. I got in and drove her home. I carried the baby in the house and Jess showed me the way to her nursery, I brought her up and Jess helped me change her into her pajamas. They were so cute; they were light pink and had little sheep all over them. We both laid her down in her crib and Jessica gave her a kiss goodnight.
�I love you princess.� She whispered and then I walked over and kissed her forehead.
�Goodnight Emmy, I had fun with you and your mommy tonight.� I kissed her one more time and Jess and I walked out of the nursery and into her room.
Jessica�s POV
We walked into my room. Today was perfect, I had so much fun. We laid on my bed and he held me. He kept running his hands through my hair and I closed my eyes and just enjoyed being around him. He smelled so good. I kept thinking about him and I and what was still to come for us. His voice took me out of my thoughts.
�Jess?� I lifted my head to look at him.
�Yeah�?� He looked at me and smiled.
�What happened with you and Emma�s dad?�
�I told you Nick, I got pregnant and he left me.�
�I know�but I mean how did you know him?� I sat up and stayed in his arms.
�I dated for from freshman year til my sophomore year. He left me during my sophomore year. I got pregnant with Emma in December of my sophomore year; she was born September of Junior year. And I was out for only a month, now I�m back and I have a month left of school.�
�Oh��
�I grew up with him, he was my best friend.�
�I�m sorry��
�It�s not your fault baby.� I kissed him and he kissed me back. �It�s all better because now I have you.� I smiled and kissed him deeper.
�That you do. And I�m not going to go anywhere.� I pulled back and looked at him.
�How long do you think we�ll last Nick?� He looked at me confused.
�What do you mean?�
�Well I�m 17, and you�re 22��
�Jess we went through that already.�
�I know but I mean you�re gonna meet so many girls and they�ll be your age.�
�But I�m not going to want to be with them because I have you and I have Emma. I�m in this for the long run Jessica. I�m not going that easily.� I smiled and kissed him.
�I don�t� want to lose you Nick.�
�Well you�re not going to.� He kissed me deeper and rolled over so he was leaning over me. �I promise.� I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck to pull him down to me. We started making out and were completely oblivious to the others in my house. I took Nick�s shirt off and saw his chest, I melted. He was so handsome, and built. That�s as far as we got though, my mama walked in and Nick pulled away from me.
�I�m sorry�� My mama started to walk away.
�Its okay mama�Nick has to leave anyways.� I got off the bed and straightened my clothes out and helped Nick with his shirt. I smiled and walked him downstairs to the door.
�Goodnight baby�� He leaned over and kissed me.
�Night, I have to go to church tomorrow�I didn�t know if you wanted to come but if you do we have to leave my house by 8:45.�
�I�ll be here.� I smiled this time, kissed him quick and watched him leave. I went up to bed after checking on the baby and fell asleep quick. My mama woke me in the morning; I fed Emma, dressed her for church and then got myself ready. At 8:30 I heard the bell ring and walked down with Emma. Mama was busy talking to Nick and he saw me and smiled.
�You didn�t think I was going to show up did you?� I laughed and brought the baby down with me. He reached for her. I handed Emma to him and she smiled and him. I smiled and kissed his cheek.
�I didn�t not think it no�� I laughed and confused both him and me. We got Emma ready in her carrier and then mama called Ashlee and daddy down and we all hopped in and left. Nick and I sat next to each other during the service, Emma sat on my lap at the beginning but then she got restless and Nick took her from me and she quieted. He sat there with her on his lap and she was quiet the rest of the service. When church was over we all went out to brunch and Nick sat there and fed Emma, I had to keep looking at them, they were so cute and he was so good to her. I was falling in love with him, and I think Emma already had. I giggled when he tried giving her a high five. We all went home and Nick and I went into the family room to play with Emma. We ended up playing in there with her for a couple hours and then we watched TV with her in Nick�s lap. I looked over halfway through the television show and saw Nick and Emma sleeping peacefully, Emma was lying on his chest and he was holding her protectively. I kissed his cheek and then hers and leaned my head on his shoulder, I laid one of my hands over the one he had holding Emma and I fell asleep.

~*2 Months Later*~
Nick�s POV
�Come on Jessica�they�ll love you! I promise�� She shook her head at me. �Jessica Ann Simpson!� She giggled and picked Emma up.
�Nicholas Scott Lachey�.NO!� She handed her over to me and I fed her. This was becoming a regular thing now, she�d spend hours after school with me at my house and she�d always bring Emma around. Some day�s Tina would keep her and Jess and I would hang out around my house, I�d make her dinner or something.
�Jessica, I told them I was bringing someone special�please! I�ve told them ALL about you, they�re dying to meet you.� She rolled her eyes at me. It was half truth.
�Nick, I am not flying to Cincinnati to meet your parent�s they�ll hate me!� I finished feeding Emma and put her in the playpen we�d set up in my living room.
�They won�t. Like I said they know everything about you.� Kinda�except the baby part. She sat there thinking and I lifted her up into my arms. �Please�baby.� She looked at me and smiled a little.
�Fine! But I need to see if mama will mind watching Emma for the week.�
�Don�t worry, we�ll bring her with us.� She looked at me shocked.
�You mean they know about her?� I looked at her for a minute.
�Well�no, I wanted to tell them in person you know when we get there.�
�Nicholas��
�It�ll be fine.� She sighed and I kissed her to let her know it would be okay. �Great, pack your things tonight, we�re leaving tomorrow afternoon. It�s memorial day, you�ve got a 4 day weekend starting tomorrow and we�re flying out to see them, they�re going to have a huge barbeque too.�
�Oh goody.� She said sarcastically. I laughed at her and picked her up.
�Aren�t we the funny one tonight.� She giggled and we sat on the couch watching TV for a little while before she decided she needed to head home. I walked her and Emma out to her new car�I got her a little �early graduation� Mercedes for a gift.
�I�ll pick you up at 7am sharp.� She had Emma in and ready to go.
�7AM! Are you crazy?� I laughed and kissed her.
�Crazy about you.� She shoved me playfully and kissed me one more time before pulling out of the driveway.
Jessica�s POV
I cannot believe he got me to agree to this. Here I am 17 and about to meet some 22 year old guy�s parents. I was nervous. Emma was sleeping in Nick�s lap and I was holding his hand. The flight wasn�t too long and when we landed I reached for Emma.
�Let me take her so they don�t notice her when they get here.�
�Jess, they know I�m bringing my girlfriend, they know I�m in a serious relationship, they�ll figure it out with you right next to me.�
�Just give her to me.� He handed Emma over to me and I held onto her. I walked closely behind Nick and as we got off the terminal I immediately saw him walking over to his parents�well I assumed they were his parents. They walked over and hugged him; the woman who I�m guessing is his mother looked a lot like him.
�Hey mom�hey dad.� His dad hugged him and I stood in the back a little. I wasn�t there for long when his mom came over to me. She looked at me and smiled but I could see a little worry in her eyes.
�Nicholas, who is this?� She asked, Nick pulled away.
�Mom�dad�this is my girlfriend, Jessica.� He walked over to me and wrapped his arm around me. �And her daughter�Emma.� I looked at both his mom and dad nervously. Then I saw Emma reaching out for Nick and laughing. Nick smiled and took Emma from my arms.
�Jessica�this is my dad John, and my mother Cate.� I smiled and reached a hand out.
�Its nice to meet you, Nick has talked about you both very much.� Cate smiled at me and John nodded his head. We all started walking down the terminal and over to baggage claim. Emma�s shoe was falling off while Nick was playing with her in his arms. I reached over and took it off.
�Baby, her shoes are falling off. Hang on let me get the other one.� He stopped and I grabbed her other shoe. I turned and out of the corner of my eye saw Cate and John both smiling at me adoringly. We grabbed out luggage and Nick strapped Emma in the back, I sat on one side of her and Nick sat on the other side of her. We were all quiet until Cate spoke up.
�So Jessica�how old is Emma?� I looked up.
�She�s 9 months, she�ll be a year in September.� Just then Emma made a silly baby noise and Nick looked down and laughed at her.
�You�re so silly Emmy, yes you�re so silly.� He tickled her tummy and I laughed. Cate was looking back at Nick and smiling. We pulled up to a simple little light blue house and John helped with our things, I took Emma and Nick took her stuff.
�Baby I�m tired.� I whispered to Nick. He took my hand.
�Ma, I�m going to take Jess up stairs so she can take a nap, she�s tired.� Cate came out into the stairway.
�Okay�would you like me to take Emma?� Nick turned to me and I nodded. Cate held her and immediately seemed to like her. �She�s beautiful Jessica.� I smiled.
�Thank you.� Nick walked me up to his bedroom and I laid down. He stayed with me until I was asleep.
Nick�s POV
I waited until Jess was asleep before going downstairs; I knew my mother and father were definitely going to have questions�lot�s of them. I saw them both in the living room playing with Emma. I walked over and mom handed her to me.
�So I guess we should talk?� I looked at them and they nodded their heads. I sat on the couch and Emma stayed in my arms, they both sat across from me. My mom was the first to speak.
�She�s a very nice girl.� I looked up. �I like her.� My dad nodded his head.
�You�you do?�
�Yes, she seems very sweet and very responsible.�
�You�re not mad at me? Or her?�
�Of course not. I like her very much. And that little girl in your arms is adorable, seems like she�s attached to you too.� I nodded my head.
�She�s my little angel. I just feel bad she had to be raised without a father for as long as she did. Not like she would�ve been better off with the jerk of a father she did have.� My parents looked at me. �He left her; he got her pregnant and left her. She�s 17, and she�s been raising this beautiful baby by herself, with her parent�s help. I couldn�t help but fall in love with her�both of them.� My mom looked at me and I myself couldn�t believe what I�d said�it was true though, I loved Jessica and Emma. �I should�ve told you about Emma sooner�I�m sorry I didn�t.� The shook their heads. My dad spoke for the first time.
�You just make sure you don�t hurt them, you�re 22 and she�s 17�just remember that Nick.� I nodded.
�I�d never hurt them.� We talked a little longer and then I fed Emma and my parents watched amazed I was doing it. I woke Jessica up a little before supper and put Emma down for her nap. Jessica and I went into the kitchen and mom and dad were busy getting dinner set.
�Dad�can I talk to you for a second? Maybe we could go shoot hoops or something.�
�Sure son�I�ll be back.� I kissed Jess and dad and I went in the front to play a little basketball. �What�s on your mind son?� I shot the ball into the basket.
�I�ve been thinking about Emma and Jess��
�Yeah�what about them?� He dribbled the ball and I tried stealing it.
�I want to adopt her dad.� He stopped and dropped the ball.
�That�s a big step�are you sure?� I nodded. We walked to the swing on the porch.
�I�ve never been surer of anything in my life. I love them so much dad. And well Emma�she deserves a dad who is going to be there.�
�Exactly Nick, with your career how are you going to do that?�
�I�ll make it work dad.� He looked at me again and then patted my shoulder.
�Well, I�m proud of you son. You�ve found a girl, who although is very young, actually loves you and doesn�t want to just use you, and you�ve been very good to her daughter from what your mother and I have seen since you got here.� I smiled. �If it�s what you want, then I say talk to Jess.� I nodded.
�Thanks dad.� We played basketball until Jess called us in for dinner. I smiled and walked up to the porch to give her a kiss and hug.
�Eww�you�re a sweaty boy!� She laughed and kissed me. We walked in the kitchen and all sat down to eat. After dinner Jess and I went upstairs to talk.
�Baby�� I called out to her while she was busy changing.
�Hang on Nicholas.� I went into the guest room next to mine and checked on Emma. Then I went back in my room and sat on my bed waiting for Jessica. When she came in my jaw dropped. She was wearing a very sexy nightgown.
�What did I do to deserve this?� She giggled and sat on my lap. I rested my hands on her waist and kissed her.
�You�re a special nice guy.�
�You do this for all special nice guys?� She giggled again.
�There aren�t many around so no I don�t.� She leaned forward.
�Baby�as much as I want to do this can we talk first?� She looked back sad.
�You don�t like it�? I knew it; I�m too fat and ugly. Having a baby will do that to you.� She started to get up and I pulled her back.
�Hey, hey, hey. Stop that! Get your cute butt back in my lap. You�re beautiful, I want to just not this second okay? Just let me talk to you first.� She nodded her head. �I was talking to dad earlier and I got to thinking�about us, and Emma and Emma and I.�
�What about us?�
�Jess�I wanted to know how you�d feel about me legally adopting her as my daughter. I know I�m not the best at being a father yet but I�ll learn.� I saw her smiling.
�You�d do that? For her?�
�And for you�� She kissed me. �I had to make sure you were okay with it.�
�It would mean the world to me, only if you�re sure you want to.�
�I am�I am.� She laughed and kissed me. I knew I had to tell her. �Jess, I�I love you.� I looked at her.
�I, I love you too Nicholas.� I smiled and wrapped my arms around her. I kissed her neck and slipped her nightgown down. She reached and took my shirt off and then my shorts. I kept kissing her body and laid her gently on the bed. I leaned so I was over her and I looked at her.
�You sure you�re ready?� She nodded and reached for me. I gently pulled myself to her and we made love for the first time. I made sure I was slow and gentle for her. She lay in my arms after and I held her close to me. I kissed her head. �I love you baby��
�I love you too.� She whispered and closed her eyes. We fell asleep in each other�s arms. I knew the first thing I was going to do when I got back to California was see my lawyer so I could get the paperwork and make Emma my daughter legally.

Jessica�s POV
I couldn�t believe Nick wanted to adopt Emma. I hadn�t stopped smiling since he�d asked me. Emma was finally going to have a daddy now. I hopped out of bed; Nick was sleeping next to me. I smiled and kissed him, last night was the most amazing night of my life. I�d only had sex once before and I regretted it immediately. Last night with Nick it was my second time but I didn�t regret it. He made it so amazing and special for me. I got up and checked on Emma, she was sleeping soundly. I showered and got ready, then I went downstairs and Cate was cleaning up her breakfast. She turned when she head me enter.
�Good Morning Jessica.� I smiled and sat at the table.
�Morning Mrs. Lachey...� She poured me some orange juice and got me some toast. �Thank you��
�Did you and Nick sleep well?� I smiled and blushed.
�Yeah, but Emma hasn�t woken to be fed yet, I was a little shocked��
�Oh, she woke around six and I gave her a bottle, I hoped you wouldn�t mind. It�s just that she was crying and I checked on you and Nick but you were both sleeping and looked peaceful so I figured I�d feed her. That and the fact I wanted to practice my new grandmother skills.� I stopped eating and looked up with question. �John old me last night, and I figured since you two were happy and not fighting you were happy and agreed.�
�Oh John knew? I mean, Mr. Lachey knew?�
�He and Nick talked earlier last night.�
�Oh�� I put my plate and glass in the sink and Cate grabbed her purse.
�Ready to go?� I nodded.
�Let me grab my purse.� Cate wanted to take me to the mall today and go shopping. I walked into Nick�s room and shook Nick awake.
�Baby�baby, I�m going shopping with your mom. Emma is sleeping, I�ll be back later.� I kissed him and got up but he reached for my arm. �What�?� He wrapped the sheet around himself and went over to his wallet.
�Here baby�� He handed me his credit card. �If they give you problems tell them tough.� I giggled. �It�s Cincinnati though, you�ll be fine.� I smiled and took it. �I love you baby.� He kissed me and went back into his bed. �Have fun�� I smiled and went back downstairs. We left for the mall and it was around 10 when we did. When we got there she took me to Baby Gap. I ended up buying Emma so much stuff with Nick�s card. I got her 3 Flare Jeans, a pink top and 2 other tops to go with the jeans. I got her 3 pairs of shoes, a mini scarf and gloves; it wasn�t cold where we lived but when she came to visit her grandmother it would be. I got her a cute pink little hat and I bought her 2 very girly dresses. After going there we went to a few more baby shops where I bought her more clothes and then we stopped at the toy shop and I bought her a few toys. I stopped in at FYI and bought Nick�s newest CD. I giggled and Cate looked at me.
�Gotta help his sales, they�re doing amazing already.� She laughed and bought herself a copy too. I bought myself a few pairs of jeans and 2 cute tops, I stopped in Victoria�s Secret and bought some underwear, Cate was trying to embarrass me by picking out all these pieces of lingerie.
�I bet you�d shock the hell outta Nicholas.� We giggled and I ended up buying 2 of the things she picked out.
�He�s gonna die Cate.� We walked out, Cate was pushing Emma�s stroller.
�At least he�ll die happy.� We laughed again and walked back to her car with TONS of bags. When we got in Nick and John were watching a Reds game on the TV. I asked Nick to come help me and he did.
�Geeze�do I have anything left on my card or no?� I laughed and kissed him. We had all the bags in the house and we were upstairs putting Emma down for her nap.
�Yes�but only a little.� He kissed me again and when Emma was asleep we walked downstairs and helped Cate start dinner; it was already 5:30. �Wow, we were gone a LONG time.� I looked at Cate and she nodded. We all sat down for supper and Nick and I got an early start to bed, I fed Emma first and then Nick and I fell asleep; our flight was for noon tomorrow. Cate made Nick and I breakfast the next morning and fed Emma while we ate. Her and John drove us to the airport and stayed with us until be boarded our plane. I slept on Nick�s shoulder the whole flight home; he held Emma in his arms. When we landed Nick put all our stuff in his car and I put Emma in the back. I kept thinking about our visit to see Nick�s parents. His mother seemed to love me but I wasn�t so sure about his father. He didn�t talk much to me and he didn�t seem to want to get to know me. He was very sweet and nice to me but it wasn�t many times he took the opportunity to talk to me. I got in the front and then Nick got in and started towards my house. I had to go home; I hadn�t seen my parent�s in a few days. We were quiet but finally I broke the silence. I turned to Nick and pulled my hand away that he was holding.
�Baby�I don�t think your dad likes me.� He looked at me.
�What�?� He reached for my hand again.
�Yeah�I dunno, I mean he didn�t seem to wanna talk to me much and when he did he was short with me and didn�t seem very interested in what I had to say. And he didn�t seem to like Emma or wanna get to know her. Maybe it�s just me�I dunno.� I looked back at Emma who was sleeping and then back in front of me at the cars.
�Baby�dad loves you, just like mom.� I shook my head.
�No, no, you�re mom I believe loves me, I love her too but your dad�he just didn�t seem it. I dunno, just forget it. Sorry for bringing it up.� I looked out my window.
�Are you sure�?� I nodded my head.
�Positive�� He pulled up to my house and got my bags and luggage out and I got Emma out when he stopped me.
�Jess�I was thinking; you go back to school tomorrow and you�ve had a long weekend, I have tomorrow off�maybe you need a nice night of sleep without Emma? I�I could watch her tonight for you�I mean if you want, after all�I am going to be her father I need a little practice.� I smiled and looked at Emma; she was awake and smiling now.
�Um�I need to get her some fresh clothes.� I handed Emma over to him and he took her. We walked in and he put Emma in her playpen then went back to get the rest of my things. I went upstairs and got Emma some clothes and toys. When I got back downstairs Nick was talking to mama and daddy and holding Emma. I smiled and walked in. �Mama, Nicholas is going to take Emma for the night.� My mama looked at me.
�We heard, and we also heard about him adopting her.� I nodded and sat next to him.
�It�s very sweet and kind of you son.� My dad spoke up.
�Thank you sir�� I got Emma ready to leave while they all chatted and then when she was ready I walked Nick out to his car with all Emma�s belongings. I let him buckle her in, and then I put her things in there and gave Nick a million directions before kissing him and watching him get in the car.
�I love you Nick and call me tonight and tomorrow when I get home from school.�
�Of course I will, I love you too sweetheart.� I kissed him one more time and he pulled out of the driveway. I walked back in the house and sat in the living room telling my mama and daddy all about my weekend with Nick and his parents. We cooked dinner and by then Ashlee was home from her friends. After dinner I went up and finished some of my homework. It was so quiet around the house. I sat there thinking and looked up at a picture of Nick and me on my nightstand. Then I thought back to our weekend and how we were always together at night and always together, just around each other and I missed it now that I was home and he wasn�t here with me. I always knew when he wasn�t around I at least had Emma to keep me busy and happy but even she isn�t here now. As I kept thinking about this it made me wanna live with him more and more but I knew him and my parent�s would never allow it. I finished up my algebra and closed the book thinking about how perfect living with Nick would be and I knew�I know it�d come true and it would happen�one day.

Nick�s POV
I drove home and kept looking in the backseat to Emma. She was sleeping soundly and looked so cute. I was a little nervous about having her for the night but I figured everything would turn out just fine. I pulled into my driveway and got out of the car. I took Emma out of the back and grabbed her bags Jessica packed me with. I took her upstairs and opened the old guestroom�it was a nursery now. While I was in Cincy with Jess I hired some guys to do over this guestroom and turn it into Emma�s nursery�Jess had no idea. The room was light pink and had white trim. There was a nice white crib with light pink bedding to match the painted walls. All of the furniture matched and I had them put in a little white toy chest; full of toys of course. On the big wall of her room above the crib there were big cloth letters that spelled out �EMMA� in different colors. The floor was nice oak and beside the crib was a little white rug. I had the �Footprints Prayer� framed and matted on the wall by her changing bed. Her room definitely looked like it was fit for a princess�which is what Emma was.
�How about it Emma�?� I looked at the half awake half sleeping baby. �You like it? I think mommy is going to love it sweetheart.� I kissed her forehead and picked her up out of her carrier. I carried her over to her big white door closet. I opened it up and there had to be over 100 pairs of clothing and shoes/accessories. I went through and put a call into a few Hollywood stores before we left and they delivered them for me. Some were for now and some were for when she was a little older; around 1 or so. �I bet mommy�s going to be jealous now because you have more clothes then her.� Emma giggled and I tickled her tummy. It was around 7:30 now so I brought Emma downstairs and gave her a bottle. Then I put her in the playpen in the living room, made my dinner and ate it in the living room while I watched the basketball game. When I finished my dinner the Bearcats were up by 2 points and only 5 minutes to go. I picked Emma up and sat her on my lap.
�Okay Emmy�see the team in orange? That�s our favorite team, they�re winning by 2 points and what they have to do it bounce that orange ball there; it�s a basketball. And they have to shoot it in those net thingies.� I kept explaining the game to her knowing she had no clue what I was talking about and the Bearcat�s ended up winning by 6 points. �That was your first sports event�don�t worry there will be many more to come.� I laughed and saw her smiling at me. I looked over at the clock and saw the time�9pm. I got up and brought Emma upstairs. I put her in some of her new pink pajamas and then I read her a short book. I tucked her into her crib and kissed her goodnight. �I love you Emmy�sleep tight.� I looked at her one more time and walked out quietly after turning the light off. I walked downstairs and phone Jessica like I promised.
�Hello�?� I smiled at hearing her voice.
�Hey gorgeous��
�Nick�! How�s the babysitting going?�
�Excellent, she loves me. I�m a whole lotta fun to be around.� She laughed at me.
�Did she eat? Have you changed her? Is she too cold? Is she too hot? Is she tired?� Jessica rambled off about a thousand things at once.
�Whoa, whoa, whoa�she�s fine baby. She had her bottle, I changed her before bed, she�s not too cold or too hot she�s just right and she is out like a light right now.� I heard Jessica breath a sigh of relief. �Like you doubted me?�
�I know baby, I trust you a 100% its just that this is your first time with her and my first time really being away from her and not having my parent�s watching her.� I nodded my head understanding.
�I know sweetheart but she�s fine, she�s happy. She and I watched the Bearcat�s play tonight.�
�Oh no�my poor baby.� I laughed at her.
�Anyways, I just wanted to call and say goodnight and I love you and I�ll pick you up at your house after school tomorrow around�3:30?�
�Sounds perfect and goodnight and I love you too.� She blew me a kiss through the phone and I sent one back to her and then we hung up. I turned the lights off and locked up the house then I went up, checked on a peacefully sleeping Emma and went into my own room. I got changed and ready for bed and fell asleep. I woke up in the middle of the night when Emma was crying and I turned to look at the clock; 3:18am. I sighed and got up and walked down to her room. She was in her crib wide awake and crying. I picked her up, checked her diaper�she was dry; tried feeding her�she wasn�t hungry. I rocked her back and forth and couldn�t get her back to sleep so I decided to try and bring her back to my room with me and I hopped back in bed, laid her on my chest and held her there while I closed my eyes. Her little hands were hanging onto the collar of my shirt and I opened my eyes when the crying stop�she was fast asleep. I smiled and held her close to me and fell asleep.
Jessica�s POV
For the first time in a long time I had a night where I could sleep through the entire night without having someone crying and waking me up. It was refreshing. I got up, got ready for school and actually got out on time today, usually before school I bathe Emma, dress and feed her and drop her off at daycare. I got to school and kept thinking about Nick, the teacher called on me and I had no idea what the question was�oops. At lunch Cacee and Cooper found me and we sat together.
�So how are you and Mr. Celeb?� Cacee asked me while I ate my salad. I smiled.
�Wonderful�he�s adopting Emma.� Coop and Cacee�s jaws dropped.
�He is�?� I nodded.
�That is SO sweet�!�
�Yeah, yeah, yeah it is sweet but let�s get to the juicy info�� I looked at Cacee�
�Uh oh��
�So how is he�?�
�Cacee!� Cooper screamed and I just laughed.
�Hey, maybe we haven�t yet��
�Yeah riiight�� I laughed.
�He�s amazing�we�ve only done it once though so don�t get all hyped up.�

�I�m appalled�� Cooper cut in.
�No, no�it was just this weekend�at his parent�s house in Cincinnati!� The two of them squealed and I laughed. We talked about Nick, Nick and more�Nick the entire lunch. Cacee had met him twice but Cooper had yet to meet him. The bell rang and we went to our classes. The rest of the day was pretty boring as is all of school but I made it through the day and I drove home after it was over. I walked in the house and mom walked into the front hall.
�Hey sweetie�how was school�?� I threw my bag on the ground.
�Eh�school is school�� My mom laughed and I went upstairs. The phone rang and mom hollered for me.
�Jess�its Nicholas!� I picked up the phone and smiled.
�Hey��
�Hey you�how was school?� I sighed and rolled my eyes.
�Ugh�if another person asks�I swear.� We laughed. �I mean it is school it�s not supposed to be fun! So how was my girl?�
�She�s been an angel all day.� I smiled. �Wanna come over tonight for dinner?�
�Sure�let me finish this dumb English Lit crap and then I�ll be over so about an hour give or take��
�Okay baby I�ll see ya in a little bit. Love you��
�Love you too baby�� I hung up and worked on my English Lit. When I was done I grabbed myself a change of clothes and also changed out of my school clothes. I know I�m not supposed to stay the night but oh well, I wanted to tonight and if they wanted to get mad then who cares. I grabbed my school books and backpack and said bye to mom and dad and Ash then I drove over to Nick�s. I pulled up to his house, parked next to his Escalade and went up to the door. I knocked on the door and Nick opened it and was standing there with Emma in his arms. She was wearing the cutest mini Bearcat�s jersey and pants.
�Cute Nick�real cute...� We laughed and I gave her a kiss, then I leaned over and gave him a kiss. I walked into the house and threw my bags on his living room couch.
�How long you planning to stay�? A month�� I stuck my tongue out and he laughed.
�I was gonna stay over tonight so I had to bring my backpack and clothes for tomorrow, unless you don�t� want me to stay over��
�No, no�of course I do�are you sure your parent�s don�t care�?� I shrugged my shoulders.
�So what if they do�?�
�I feel like staying here�� I wrapped my arms around his waist. �With you�� I kissed him and he pulled away.
�Hey�I have to show you something�bring your stuff with you.� I grabbed my bags and followed him upstairs. �First, throw your things in my bedroom.� He opened the door to a HUMUNGOUS bedroom�you wouldn�t believe the size of it�really. Then he led me down the hall to another door. �Look�this is Emmy�s room.� I looked at him with question because I knew she didn�t have a room. He opened the door and my jaw just dropped. This room looked like a room out of a fairytale. It was beautiful.
�You did this�?� He nodded his head and I smiled. I leapt into his arms, being careful of Emma and I kissed his neck. �Baby�I love you so much.�
�I love you too�and Emma and I wanted her to have her own room.� I had happy tears in my eyes and he gave me a tour of the entire room. Afterwards we laid Emma down for a nap and went downstairs in the living room to talk and just hang out. We cherished every quiet opportunity we had. Nick grabbed him and I some wine and then sat next to me on the couch.
�So really�how was your day?�
�Eh�it was alright, my friends keep asking all about you.� He laughed and sipped his wine. �So she was alright for you?� He nodded.
�She was perfect, we really had fun.� I smiled glad they had a good time.
�Good�I�m glad it went okay.� Him and I talked and then ended up making out. I pulled away trying to breath.
�Baby�� He leaned forward and kissed me again, he scooped me up and carried me into his bedroom. As soon as we were stripped down to nothing Emma started to cry. Nick and I sighed and he grabbed his pants and put them on. I waited there and heard him talking to Emma; soon she was quiet and walked back into the bedroom. �Is she okay�?� He nodded.
�She�s fine�now where were we?� I smiled and he moved on top of me.
�Somewhere around�here�� I kept kissing him and giggled. We made love but didn�t get to lay around much afterwards�Emma was crying again so I got Nick�s t-shirt slipped it on and walked into her room. I checked her diaper and changed her. I looked at the clock and it was 6:30 so I went and got Nick and he and I cooked dinner; I fed Emma her bottle and put her in her playpen. While she was playing with her toys Nick and I enjoyed and semi romantic meal in the dining room. We laid around with Emma that night on the couch and ended up falling asleep there. Nick woke up around 1 and picked Emma and I up. He brought me into his room and tucked me in before taking Emma into her room and getting her into bed. He came back in and I turned over to face him. He held me close to him; I rested my head on his chest and closed my eyes.
�Mmmm...Love you Nick.� I felt him kissed my head.
�Love you too baby�� We fell asleep together and it was the best night sleep I�d ever had.
