This site is for all the X-files fans out there, looking for a Mulder and Scully break. Now before you start typing away at nasty emails, let me explain.
I have nothing against the characters of Mulder and Scully. I've watched the show since it's premiered, and tuned in every week to see what would happen to these two. Even if you don't count the Mulderless seasons, it still adds up to over 150 hours of my life spent watching these two. I wouldn't do that if I didn't like the characters.
However, that being said, there were a lot of other characters I met over these past 9 years that I also adored. Characters that I only got to see glimpses off. Glimpses that intrigued me so much, I wanted more. Alas, with the show ending, I've accepted that I'm not going to get anymore, not on the TV anyway.
So I turn to the internet. Here, I can see these characters, play with them, explore them. I've been fortunate enough to meet other fans out there who also enjoy these characters, but I've also found the amount of cyberspace dedicated to the X-files characters, definitely co-relates to the amount of screen time they were given. No one is hard up if they're looking for a MSR, but try finding a Cassandra/CSM romance. It's damn near impossible. (Believe me, I tried)
This site is my contribution to the voices out there in fandom who appreciate characters other than the most popular. Currently, it will contain my creative works, all centered on supporting characters. I'm a Skamper, and proud of it, so you'll find a lot of Krycek/Marita stuff. It will also include a list of links where you can find other places dedicated to supporting characters.
ABOUT THE NAME
Lachesis was one of the three Greek fates. Her sister Apropos spun the
thread of life. Her other sister, Clotho, decided when to cut it. Lachesis
was the one who measured each thread, decided it's importance, and what
its lot in life would be. I thought it an appropriate name for a site
that takes a second look at characters whose worth didn't get a fair shake
the first time around.
