Beyond Nature
By Kyle

Sometimes, I like to go to where it all started.
The tiny creeks tinkling and scintillating beside me.
Leaves crunch beneath my feet, and the winds rustle through the trees.
The most humbling experience is one that takes you by surprise.
I breathe in the fresh air, and a coolness envelopes my body despite the warm weather,
Never before experienced without the aid of a tic-tac.
It's good to get away from the fast pace.
I pity those who don't want to experience this.
No more of life's problems here;
Nothing but the necessary.
Voices, speaking to me, comforting voices,
Telling me things I've never bothered to take the time to listen to.
I come here to reacquaint myself with my priorities,
And despite the few sounds emanating from the mountain,
This is the most I've ever heard in my life.
