version 2.0::sumi haiku

So, you want to know about your lovely and wonderful webmistress, huh? Basically, I was bored, and wanted to share my artwork with the world. Having little to no experience with HTML, I began to hunt for a host. My first thought was actually Geocities, but back then, they still had the long addresses with the block number and everything. Confused the heck outta me. So, I went with Angelfire. I dabbled a bit and got a pretty basic understanding of proper coding. Unfortunately, before I could do anything really snazzy with it, I moved/forgot about it/didn't want to do another redesign. Enter Bothell. Indeed, I moved to Bothell, a lovely little city north of Seattle. Around the third year we were living there, my fingers began itching to do some coding again, but I was fed up with Angelfire: they merged with Lycos and screwed everything up. So, I decided to try again for Geocities. Lo and Behold, there was an easier way now! Lucky for me. I signed up originally under the name Serpentinemistress, but due to fandom changes and personality differences, I pretty much abandoned that account and site, leaving it for this one, which is much better now that I've taken the time to make it pretty instead of silly. For anyone that wants to still see it, there's a link to version 1.0 on the entrance/splash page.

But that's enough about the history of the site. You're here to hear about me. Well, I was born in a hospital in Bakersfield, CA, lived there until I was four/nearly five, then we moved to Washington. Life was fairly uneventful: I went to school, I fell out of trees, I had friends. Uneventful except for the fact that I now had two little sisters. All this time, I was moving from neighbourhood to neighbourhood. By the time I hit highschool, I had gone to five different schools and moved just as many times. Twice more and two schools later, we wound up in Duvall, the quaint little town out east(?) of Redmond. We're in farm country out here, and it's wonderful. I feel very out of place sometimes, though, especially when I'm out with Gana, one of my sisters. We be weird. It's fun, though. Now that we've settled down, the only excitement is when folks come over. Mom still works for Microsoft, Dad still helps keep up the house, sisters both go to school, and me? I update webpages, draw, read, do needlepoint, bake and watch a ton of anime. that's my big thing right now. I've been downloading and watching Naruto. Downloading in blocks of ten, I've got up to episode 30 right now, but I'm almost up to 40. I've only seen all the way to episode 25, though. Not allowed to watch it on my own, by decree of Gana.

I've got pretty much no hobbies besides sitting in front of my computer drawing, coding HTML or reading. Occasionally I RP with a select group of people, but that's really about it. I'll sometimes write, too, but it never goes where I want it.
