| Cyndi Thomson and the Titans January 8, 2002 When Cyndi Thomson was asked to sing the National Anthem before the Tennessee Titans/Cincinnatti Bengals game on Sunday, January 6, she felt thrilled to be asked and immediately agreed. Then over the holidays in her hometown of Tifton, Georgia, she realized that as well as she knew the song, it was notoriously difficult to sing and she'd be performing it in front of thousands of people at an echo-filled football stadium. Being the perfectionist that she is, a little nervousness set in as she thought about it so her mom, Pat, called up Cyndi's former high school chorus teacher on Christmas Day and asked for some help. The teacher, Mrs. Beck, got together with Cyndi to go over the song, and she's been rehearsing for the past week, so she's ready to belt that anthem out! Let's hear it for Mrs. Beck! |

| With her career skyrocketing Cyndi Thomson is learning to appreciate something that's becoming rare-time alone. "You hardly ever get to sleep in your own bed, because you're on the road. But when you do, it's great! she proclaims. "It's those small things that are so much more important now. Like today I'm home all day, and I'm cleaning my house. I just mopped my floor. I'm really enjoying myself! I love people, but I do like to be alone too. I just want to be quiet, paint my toenails and fingernails and read a book." -Country Weekly |
