| vs. Yankees Ah, the joys of facing a team when their manager umpires. Johnny Godinez threw well, but could not buy a call. The Aztecs knew they were in trouble with the first play of the game, when the Yankee leadoff hit a grounder to shortstop Michael Alvarez, who threw it to 1B Dad for an easy out, but lo and behold, was called safe by the Umpire. The Aztecs, hampered by defections to other teams managed to stay in the game, but never threatened. |
