| The LACABA Athletics were annihilated in a 5 inning mercy affair at Los Altos Junior Varsity Field, Sunday, May 18th by the superior Brooklyn team. In a game scheduled for the Varsity Field, but mysteriously played on the JV field, the Brooklyn Dodgers utilized exceptional pitching and took advantage of a score of misplayed balls by the Athletics outfielders to master the A's, 12-1. Breon Watters, recently signed by Minot South Dakota College, led the A's with a two out RBI Double, plating Eric Smith who reached on the only other A's hit for the only run the A's could muster. The A's pitching staff, Joe Castro, Angel Schubert and Johnny Godinez were unable to find the zone, and yielded 11 walks. Player of the Game: Breon Watters 1-2 Double, RBI |
