| CAN YOU HELP US? Labrador Rescue needs your help!! We are in need of volunteers, supplies and donations. If you can offer your assistance to us or any other Labrador Rescue in your area, here is what you can do: Become a volunteer foster home. If you have experience with medium to large breed dogs, can provide a safe place such as fenced in yard, kennel or indoor home for one or more rescued Labradors at a time until an adoptive home is found. You must be able to provide regular care for the animal such as food, inoculations, monthly heartworm prevention and other veterinary care as needed. You may also have to provide socialization and training or attend classes to help any dog that may suffer from behavioral problems or just needs some basic obedience. Please call us if you can do this! Your time and effort will be greatly appreciated!! Sponsor a dog: Can�t be a foster home because of where you live or you lack the knowledge of dog care? You can sponsor an individual dog through rescue. With Sponsorship, you get to choose which dog you want to sponsor. You can send LRRMT a donation once per month in any amount that you like regardless of how small or large. The donation would go into a fund just for your sponsored dog to help cover cost of his or her care and medical expenses. If you wish, you can arrange a visit twice per month to spend time with your sponsored dog�just remember to bring along a few doggie treats! When your sponsored dog is adopted, we will notify you immediately. As always, you can choose to sponsor another dog or delete your sponsorship status at anytime. Donations: Any donation amount is greatly appreciated!! Your dollars will go toward the purchase of feed, supplies and much needed and expensive veterinary care and medicines. Vitamins. Biscuits. Pine bedding such as used in horse stables. Shredded paper. Collars, leashes, stainless steel water and food dishes, chain link panels or kennels 4 foot and 6 foot, used or new but if used they need to be in good condition. Horse fencing and post (wood and metal). Dog crates of all sizes, wire or plastic, used or new. Microchips. Disinfecting and cleaning agents such as bleach or odo-ban and laundry detergent. Dog beds, new or used. Old or new towels, bath rugs or blankets. Dog Shampoos and conditioners. Any other dog related items new or used. If you have items that you would like to donate, please call us and we can arrange pick-up at your convenience or you can drop them off to us anytime. Training: Are you a dog trainer and wish to contribute an hour or two a week to help our rescued Labradors? Please call us and we will gladly talk with you about how we can work with each other. |
